So we once again dive into the world of Game Of Thrones . Saddle up folks, because this post is gonna be all about Season 8, Episode 4 and one terribly, terribly sad scene in the middle of it.
I must warn you, there are spoilers ahead.
So, as per usual, melt your laptop or phone down into a fine paste, cook it at 400 degrees for 30 minutes on a baking sheet and serve it to guests at a dinner party if you want to avoid having Season 8, Episode 4 ruined for you.

Now that they’re gone.
And their dinner guests are presumably pretty disgusted, let’s talk about ‘The Last Of The Starks’, one of the final episodes of Game Of Thrones .
Because it’s been pretty dividing.
Some people think the episode was awesome.
We got to see some closure on some dead characters, a cool battle scene where Daenerys’ fleet gets destroyed and we even got to see that Sansa is the worst at keeping secrets.
Some, on the other hand, didn’t like it.
A lot of people think Season 8 is the low point of the series. Especially the most recent episode, which people are calling “lame” and even… “racist”?
Woah, that’s an accusation that deserves an article…
Most people are talking about one scene in particular.
It’s the scene… well, it’s probably the scene where they forgot to take a coffee cup off the set.
Seriously, Twitter, Reddit, and pretty much any social media site have been blowing up over this dumb cup.
But the other scene that has people talking is much sadder.
I’m talking about the final scene between Ghost and Jon.
Let’s just say… it’s not the send off people were looking for.
In fact, it was the exact opposite and it paints Jon as a lame dog owner.
The two of them have a long, beloved history.
Everyone who watches Game Of Thrones loves the Direwolves, and Ghost especially.
Ever since he was a pup, we’ve loved that white furry fella. Look at how adorable he is!
But this recent episode had a cruddy ending for him.
Jon Snow told Tormund to take Ghost north, because “that’s where he belongs”.
And he left without petting the pup. Without giving the poor good boy a nice pat on the noggin.
Why would he do that?
There are some theories about why Jon Snow didn’t give his doggo a nice stroke on the head. He wanted to look stoic and cool in front of his friends, for example.
People were very upset with him, and understandably.
I can barely leave for work in the morning without giving my pets lots of kisses and hugs and promises to be home soon.
Maybe it’s cause he has a dragon
And he doesn’t need poor ol’ Ghost anymore. That’s he’s abandoning him for his awesome new dragon, which is so sad that I don’t even want to think about it.
I have a theory.
Honestly, I think he didn’t do it cause he couldn’t bear to lose one of his best pals.
He didn’t have the strength to say goodbye to Ghost, so he just left. I’m sure he regrets it.
According to the director of the episode, there was a real reason Jon and Ghost were kept so separate.
Since the direwolves are CGI’d over top of real wolves, director David Nutter told Insider that it’s just too complicated to film the actors interacting with them.
That’s why they’ve used it so sparingly in the past.
But still. On a show where these characters ride literal dragons , you’d think they could manage a pet or two. Oh, sorry, I forgot that the dragons are real, so it doesn’t cost anything to CGI them.
“He has his moment with Ghost that I thought was very, very powerful.”
“Since the direwolves are kind of CG creations, we felt it best to keep it as simple as possible,” Nutter said . “And I think that it played out much more powerfully that way.”
The fans… don’t really agree.
However, this might not be the end.
One Reddit theory thinks that Jon and Ghost will be reunited once again.
Yes, our good boy will finally get that pat on the head he so desperately deserves.
Someone thinks they’ll meet again.
And it’ll be North of the wall.
Wait, why would Jon be North of The Wall? And in the final scene of the series?
I wonder if he ends up there after Daenerys burns down the world.
They also made some… other predictions.
About Ygritte (his real-life wife) coming back to life and having a happy life.
And then… they made a reference to Pompeii ? Maybe? Kit Harrington was in it, so who knows?
