A Reddit User Shared Their Dismay When A Passenger In Front of Them Locked Their Tray in With a Pillow
The Reddit user posted the photo online to showcase that his dinner tray was locked in due to something that the person in front of them was using. In the comments, many people were able to point out that it was a travel pillow that is used on the back of the chair for comfort. However, due to the way the pillow was hooked, it blocked the opening of the airplane tray and they could not open it to eat or use it in any way—which, was clearly rude.
The Passenger Was Clearly Bothered By The Incident
The Reddit user shared the photo to the Reddit forum “Mildly Infuriating” to showcase that he was, indeed, frustrated with the passenger in front of him. Many people use airplane trays for much more than eating meals and snacks. Some use it as a tray to write or even to place a computer and do work. An entire flight without the ability to use the tray is simply unfair and a bit inconvenient.
Reddit Users Were In Agreement That It Was Rude
Many people said that the person who posted the photo should absolutely unsnap the person’s pillow strap and free their seat tray. The worst the person can do is be annoyed that it was unsnapped, but quickly explaining why they did would resolve any of the problems. Many argued that the person cannot be angry though, because it’s their own fault for the way they snapped the pillow in.
Another Person Said The Passenger May Not Realize Their Mistake
One kind Reddit user pointed out that the person in the front seat may not realize that they had strapped their tray in with their travel pillow, as we all get very flustered when we are getting on a flight. A simple tap on the shoulder and explaining the situation should fix it right up. If not, report the person to a flight attendant and let them handle it, instead.
