Homeownership isn’t for the faint of heart. That’s a hard lesson one woman recently learned when she bought her house .
You know how they say that bad things come in threes? Well, there was a lot more that went wrong after this lady moved into her home. And you will hardly believe this story once you hear all the details. Are you ready? Let’s go!
TikTok user @_arsmath recently shared her absolute homeownership nightmare.

She wanted to tell people her story to warn them about some things that can go wrong when you buy a new home. And I, for one, am grateful to people like her.
Okay, so you’re probably wondering what happened, huh?

Let me tell you all about it. The first thing that went wrong when this lady bought her home, was a dead tree that had to be ripped out. That cost her a whopping $7,000!
OMG!

But then bad things just kept happening like a pipe that burst. What was the cost for that one? Um, $4000. Oh yeah, how do you like that? Wow! I would be so ticked right about now. But that’s not all…
Wait until you hear the next one.

What if I told you that a washing machine flooded her house? Oh, yeah! That’s right. This little incident cost her another $3000. How did this woman not throw a fit after learning about that one?
This next one is really good.

Apparently, there was some kind of explosion, and the power lines trapped this lady in her house. Holy crap! She almost had a heart attack. Well, I don’t blame her. I would have felt that way, too.
Then there was what she calls an ‘indoor waterfall’ that required the roof to be fixed.

What was the cost for that? Let me enlighten you — $11,000! Wow! What are we up to now? It’s like $25,000! Again, OMG!
After all of that you’d think that was it — but no!

What happened next is even more shocking. Get this: another tree fell on the house while this woman was inside. It nearly killed her and destroyed everything including damaging all her belongings.
The story continues, though.

She had to be taken to the hospital because she had a concussion and was treated for serious bruises while also suffering from PTSD. If that’s not the worst homeowner’s nightmare, I don’t know what is.
People on TikTok really felt for her and appreciated hearing her story. Some of them even shared a few of their own nightmares.
But the good news is that this story does have a happy ending.

After the insurance processed this lady’s claim, she rebuilt her home and put it up on the market. The house sold, and she actually made a profit on it. So there is a silver lining in this crazy homeownership story, after all.
However, let this be a warning to you — you never know what might go wrong when you buy a home. What do you think about that?
