It's no secret that electric vehicles are the future. And Tesla has been leading the charge on that front for years. But they aren't the only game in town, even when it comes to higher end luxury vehicles.

Meet the Mercedes Vision EQXX

During CES 2022, Mercedes Benz unveiled their concept for their most efficient EV yet, Car and Driver reports.
The car boasts a wide range of sustainable features.
With its vegan leather seating sourced from mushrooms and floor mats made of bamboo fibers, as Car and Driver reports, this car concept has one mission on its mind: to get its driver from A to Z with as little impact on the environment as possible.
And it does that with its impressively efficient range.

The Vision EQXX will be able to drive up to 620 miles on a single battery charge, Business Insider reports .
That would mean spending more time on a road trip on the road.
That range alone is further than anything Tesla currently has on the market.
Tesla's longest-range electric vehicle is over 200 miles short of the Vision EQXX. Needless to say, it's pretty impressive.
Sounds like this car's battery has its work cut out for it.

The car's capacity is around 100kWh, all while operating at 95% efficiency. In other words, it's high powered, all while producing as little waste as possible.
And it even has solar panels!
Yep, that's right. According to Diamler, the car's roof boasts 117 solar panel cells, which is enough to give the car an extra 25 kilometers (approx. 15.5 miles) of usable energy. Not bad.
Of course, you probably won't be able to get your hands on one of these cars.
Or at least, not one exactly like the EQXX. This is a concept car, after all, and not one that's going to be in production. At least, not anytime soon.
That doesn't mean you won't see this car at all, though.
It's very likely that the features introduced in the EQXX concept will be brought into future electric vehicles from Mercedes-Benz.
Either way, one thing is clear.

Electric cars are here to stay, and they're only going to get better and more efficient as time goes on. I don't know about you, but I'm excited to see what the future holds for them.
