Debate Sparks After Woman Surprises Partner With Pregnancy Test Under Waffles

When some women find out they are pregnant, they want to surprise their partners with a way to deliver the good news.

Many times, women will try to be romantic and surprise their partners with their pregnancy test by hiding it in places or giving them little baby gifts to drop hints. Sometimes, however, people take it to a new level.

One TikTok video recently went viral for the way one woman surprised her man with a pregnancy test.

The TikTok user showcased a video in which she decided to hide the positive pregnancy test under the waffles that her man was currently about to eat.

In the video, he looks rather confused as he tries to cut through the waffles.

He continues to struggle with slicing them.

While waffles are usually soft and fluffy and easy to cut through, this man seemed to be lost as to why he couldn't cut through his waffles at all.

He continues to struggle and look lost.

Finally when he realizes what's going on, he's not thrilled.

While many men react in an excited and positive way, this soon-to-be dad looked angry and also confused as to why his girlfriend decided to put the pregnancy test in his food, which he said, "you peed on this?!"

She was upset with his reaction.

The TikTok user clearly expected that her man was going to be excited and jump for joy that they were expecting a baby together, but instead, he was mad that she ruined his waffles and he couldn't eat them anymore.

Many people online thought this was taking things way too far.

Many TikTok commenters said that it was understandable why her man was mad, because he was about to eat and figured out that she put a pregnancy test inside of his food—that's way too much and really nasty if you think about it.

Many said that it was "peed up waffles."

However, the TikTok user posted another video later saying that it wasn't a traditional pregnancy test where you have to pee on the entire stick.

But instead was a "drop stick."

So I'm assuming that means you just dip the stick into your pee? I have no idea, but either way she went on to add that the test was four days old so it wasn't wet.

People online were still not with it.

Many commenters still could not fathom why someone would want to put anything that was near urine into someone else's food.

Many people also said it was "unsanitary" and now the man can't have his waffles, which he was probably looking forward to.

People online said "they don't blame him" for being mad.

The TikTok user said that there's no "Part 2" video, which many requested.

But she also said that he hasn't really said much about the baby (which people thought was strange), but that he also requested that she doesn't do anything like this again.

Some couldn't believe that she found this romantic.

Commenters online called her out, saying that they "couldn't believe" that she truly thought this was romantic or a good idea at all.

The TikTok user said that she did think it was romantic, as it was "just the two of them" together.

To be honest, I understand both points of view for this one.

Luckily, however, many even offered better alternatives for the future.

Some say that she should have waited until Christmas to let him know and he could have opened the pregnancy test as a Christmas gift.

This would have been way better than having the test near the waffles he wanted to eat.

And, then there were those who were over the pregnancy announcements.

Some people said that they are "totally over" the "over-the-top" pregnancy announcements that people constantly try to do with their men.

Instead, make it a small, intimate moment between the two of you where you let them know they're going to be a dad.

And, don't ruin their waffles.

That will probably save you a lot of headache.
