Parents are always looking for simple and unique ways to make feeding their kids easier. Kids can be picky and also hard to keep an eye on when they’re having meals or snacks. The best hacks are those that can make it easier to feed kids without having to watch the like a hawk at the table, using forks and the like.
Many parents on social media have helped other parents discover new and unique ways to feed their kids.
Apps like Instagram and TikTok have made it easy for parents to share their hacks and tricks with other parents online. Some of them are brilliant and things we would have never thought about on our own! Seriously, we love parents helping other parents.
If you have young kids, you’ve probably heard of pop its.
Pop its are silicone toys that have little bubbles that you can pop back and forth from side to side. Think of them as the new “fidget spinner,” a way for kids to keep themselves occupied and pass the time when they are bored.
One mom on TikTok found a way to use her daughter’s pop it and also combine it with snack time.
TikTok user @carolina_mccauley found a way to keep the pop its in the house and also use them as a food hack. The little bubble areas are the perfect size to fit some blueberries—and, she figured out a way to spice it up even further.

The mom then covered the blueberries in yogurt.
Using the bubbles as blueberry holders, she then took some strawberry yogurt and smothered the pop it into it. This way all the blueberries stayed in place. Then, she popped the pop it into the freezer for a few to freeze the snack.
When the yogurt freezes, it makes for an easy-to-eat snack.
The mom just pops the frozen yogurt/blueberry snack out on a cutting board and showcases it’s easy to break up and snack on for young kids. It’s a simple way to make a fun treat that kids can have on their own.
However, some parents were concerned with this video and this hack.
Some parents were concerned that pop its are not “food-safe silicone.” Meaning, that there can be chemicals in it that are not safe to be ingested or even close to food. For some parents, that’s a total deal-breaker.
Other commenters pointed out the obvious.
Many commenters said food-safe or not, kids are always putting this in their mouth, along with other toys. So, if they can put these in their mouth and be fine, putting food in it and freezing it is not the end of the world.

Many parents said they have dozens of these at home and their kids are playing with them all the time. It’s a great way to get the kids excited for snack time, or even let them make it on their own.
And, others made a good point!
Some people thought this was a dog treat (which it totally could be). Many pointed out it would be a fantastic way to make some frozen treats for dogs, too, not just for kids.
