Hollywood is filled with failed love stories. For being one of the most magical places in the world, it sure has its fair share of heartbreaks. So when I see a couple that has survived, nay, thrived amidst the pressures of Hollywood, I can't help but feel my heart swell. When it's true love, like Pierce Brosnan and his wife Keely Shaye Brosnan, it can last a lifetime.
Pierce Brosnan And Keely Shaye Brosnan Share Emotional Tributes On 20th Wedding Anniversary
For those unfamiliar with Pierce and Keely's love affair, it's truly one for the books.
The power couple married back in August 2001 in Ireland's stunning countryside. The actor and the filmmaker share sons Dylan, 24, and Paris, 20, who, as fans may recall, were Golden Globes Ambassadors in 2020.
Keely is Pierce's second wife.
The actor was tragically widowed after the death of his first wife, actress Cassandra Harris, who died of ovarian cancer at the age of 43 in 1991.
Before her passing, the pair welcomed a son, Sean. Pierce also adopted Cassandra's children, Charlotte and Chris, following the death of their father, Dermot Harris in 1986.
Tragically, the actor would loose Charlotte to the same disease in 2013.
In a life that has been filled with heartbreak, it makes Pierce's union with Keely even more special.
For those who are ready to take the leap, there's something so hopeful about a widow being able to find love again.
Pierce has always been candid about Keely, never shying away from expressing his feelings for his wife.
In 2014, Pierce told the Independent, "I love her vitality, her passion. She has this strength that I wouldn’t be able to live without. When Keely looks at me, I go weak."
In 2017, the actor shared his best relationship advice, which was just a romantic as you'd hope.
Pierce believes quality time should be priority #1 for every couple.
"My wife and I took a short road trip up to Santa Barbara — we were going for a romantic weekend and to look at houses and drink great wine,” he recalled to People at the time.
“We didn’t listen to any music, but we just listened to the sounds of each other’s voices and sorted out the world."
I think we can all agree there is nothing better than quality time with your significant other, no matter how you get it!
When asked to describe his perfect day off, he continued to make fans swoon.
"It was yesterday," he told the publication. "I painted in my studio, then I went down and sat on the beach, read and did some drawing — and then I had lunch with Keely... Around 5 o’clock, I went out and watched the sun go down. Keely sat beside me, we had a glass of champagne and talked about the day,” he continued.
“It’s very simple — and the best.”
Now, much to fans' delight, the pair are commemorating their 20th wedding anniversary on social media.
While the pair often post in honor of these monumental moments, this year just felt extra passionate.

Posting a beautiful picture from their wedding day, Keely shared a sweet message to her husband.
"Still the one! Happy 20th wedding anniversary @piercebrosnanofficial," she began. "Thank you for the gift of your love and friendship. The world is more beautiful with you in it! 4-8-94 / 8-4-2001."
Pierce echoed his wife's sentiment, and posted two photos of the pair side-by-side.
"Happy anniversary my darling Keely, my love forever grows with you…," he wrote, alongside an emoji of a four-leaf clover.

Naturally, friends, family and fans alike couldn't wait to wish the sweet pair a happy anniversary.
"Happy happy Anniversary, lovebirds!" commented Rita Wilson.
