Rob Lowe Celebrates 31 Years Of Sobriety

Congratulations are in order for Hollywood legend and actor Rob Lowe, who is proudly celebrating 31 years of sobriety this week! The 57-year-old husband and father of two shared the anniversary on his Instagram page Monday, and fans couldn't be more proud!

Now, the actor is paying homage to his family for being so supportive during his sobriety journey.

To be honest, I've had a crush on Rob Lowe since the Brat Pack days.

As fans may recall, Rob recently insisted that now would be the perfect time for a reunion of all our favorite '80s teen actors.

"It’s funny, I think the world needs some iteration of it!" he explained on *Good Day New York* back in January.

"There is not enough in the world to make fun of, I think the Brat Pack should volunteer."

Can you imagine it?

In a post-COVID-world, walking into a theater and seeing Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Andrew McCarthy, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Demi Moore, and Ally Sheedy on-screen together?

in the meantime, Rob is focusing on himself and his family while marking 31 years of sobriety.

The actor has always been open with his journey in an effort to help fans who are experiencing the same struggles.

In October 2019, Rob revealed fellow actor and friend, Demi Moore, was a huge inspiration for his journey to sobriety while appearing on *The View.*

“She was the first person I ever knew who got sober," he told the audience at the time.

"She was a huge inspiration to me. It was the ‘80s, we were all doing our thing," he explained.

"I just remember thinking, ‘If that girl can get sober, anybody can.' Everybody has that person in their life where they go, ‘That’s a great example.’ So it was very helpful."

Last year, Rob hit the milestone of thirty years sober.

In an emotional Instagram post, the actor had a message for fans who felt alone in their battle with addiction.

"30 years ago today, I found a sober life of true happiness and fulfillment. I am filled with gratitude on this anniversary," he began.

"From a treatment center in Arizona to a bomb shelter in Israel, I have come to know many extraordinary people, and the fellowship of recovery has changed my life and given me gifts beyond my selfish imaginings."

"If you, or someone you love is struggling with any kind of addiction, there is hope! Love to you all," he concluded.

Now, a year later, Rob is posting in celebration of being 31 years sober.

Posting a photo of himself on a bike, the actor wrote:

"Today I have 31 years drug and alcohol-free. I want to give thanks to everyone walking this path with me, and welcome anyone thinking about joining us; the free and the happy."

He concluded:

"And a big hug to my family for putting up with me!! Xoxo"

What an awesome accomplishment! We're so proud of you, Rob!
