10+ Terrible Choices Movie Characters Made Fans Can't Get Over

You're never going to completely agree with every movie character you see on screen. Sometimes, they make small mistakes that make you go "huh?"

And sometimes, their idiocy is too much to handle. We're talking want-to-rip-your-hair-out-from-frustration kind of stupid.

Take a look at these 10+ terrible choices movie characters made to see if your least-favorite decision made the list!

1. Pocahontas from *Pocahontas*:

"Pocahontas not telling her father or any other tribes people that John Smith didn't actually kill Kokoum, and even then it was only done in self defense... instead she does nothing and just waits until his execution to throw herself in between John and the execution club..." - Redditor whatzgood

2. The scientists in *Prometheus*:

Scott Free Productions

"Scientists in Prometheus and Covenant taking their helmets off. I just can't fathom that people on an alien planet don't take basic safety protocols. Overall, both movies are full of characters making dumb decisions in order to drive the plot but this is the one that irritates me the most." - Redditor shy247er

3. Rose from *Titanic*:

LEO COULD HAVE FIT ON THE DOOR.

To add to the character's track record of bad decisions, she threw a necklace, which was worth millions of dollars, into the ocean. Why, girl, why??

4. Maisie from *Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom*:

Universal Pictures

"That little girl in Fallen Kingdom who releases dinosaurs to wreak havoc on human society because 'they're just like me' (cloned). Probably even dumber is the fact that Owen and Claire are okay with that. Maybe even more dumberer is the film treating it like a good thing." - redditor thebreak22

5. Dennis from *Jurassic Park*

Universal Pictures

"Dennis Nedry might be one of the dumbest smart people ever; a computer programmer for Jurassic Park, he is in fact a double agent, accepting a payoff from one of InGen's rivals in order to sneak them some dinosaur embryo samples." - Redditor Jurparka

"Nedry de-activates the security protocols, allowing him access to the embryo storage room, but this means that all of the electrified fences are also de-activated, allowing the T-Rex to run rampant around the island," they continued.

"If Nedry's patent lack of foresight is one thing, it gets worse. Nedry is driving to meet his contact, when he crashes his jeep, and in trying to fix it, is attacked by a Dilophosaurus, which promptly kills him."

6. Doc from *Baby Driver*

TriStar Pictures

It was super out of character for Kevin Spacey's character to become a hopeless romantic and sacrifice himself for a young couple.

It also made no sense that he would work with Jamie Foxx's character, AKA someone who is super reckless.

7. Sara from *The Forest*:

Al-Film

"Natalie Dormer’s character in The Forest choosing to camp out in the forest overnight despite the guide repeatedly telling her it wasn’t safe to stay there. She could’ve just looked for her sister during the day and then leave before it got dark." - Redditor deleted

8. Holden from *Chasing Amy*:

View Askew Productions

In one scene, Ben Affleck's character finds out that Alyssa has slept with a man before.

This leads him to grossly slut-shame her for it, which is never okay. From there, he suggests a threesome with his best friend who he accuses of being gay...

9. Lindsay from *The Human Centipede*:

Six Entertainment

"After she got away from Dr Heiter and he left her alone in the pool room, she had the perfect opportunity to run out of the house screaming for help. What did she do instead?" - Redditor Annaliseplasko

They continued:

"Go back for her friend who was unconscious and slowly and painstakingly drag her along by the arms. There was literally no way that was going to end in anything but both of them being recaptured by Dr Heiter."

10. Eric from *Evil Dead*:

TriStar Pictures

"I know, if they didn't read the Necronomicon passage, there would be no movie or Bruce Campbell, but especially in the most recent Fede Alvarez film, the book is sealed, barbwired, covered, and a million signs that say don't read it. And what does the idiot do? He reads it and kills everyone mostly." - redditor LouisTully9000

11. Evelyn and Lee from *A Quiet Place*:

"I couldn’t get over how irresponsible and selfish it was to get pregnant. We know early on they have access to pharmacies as the son is sick and they’re in one getting meds, which means they can either get condoms or birth control pills. So why would they allow it to happen? Maybe there was a chance they tried to prevent it? I don’t know, nothing seemed to suggest this." - redditor deleted

12. Kate from *47 Meters Down*:

The Flyys Studios

She's the one who convinces her sister to go into shark-infested waters.

But instead of doing this through a legit company, she found some random thrill-seekers who don't even have a reliable or safe cage.

13. Annie from *Hereditary*:

"[sic] how old that girl was but she was way too young to be going to a teenagers party. She obviously didn't want to go and the girl was an introvert. - Redditor DearNikki94

"You can tell she wasn't the partying type," they continued.

A24

"So if she hadn't made him take her, there would have been no eating of the brownie and the girl would have lived."

Also, where was her epipen??

14. Star-Lord from *Infinity War*:

Marvel

As Star-Lord and the others were trying to get Thano's glove off, Star-Lord got blinded by rage over Gamora's death and started punching Thanos.

This broke the trance Thanos was in and ended up costing a lot of lives in the MCU.

15. Howard from *Uncut Gems*:

While it was awesome to see Adam Sandler in his best role yet, some of the choices his character made were just plain terrible.

For example, as a gambling addict, he blew his last shot to pay back the money he owed his brother-in-law.

He locked up the two dangerous men who had been hired to get the money.

Netflix

While Howard's last-minute decision to gamble on the basketball game won him a lot of money, it also cost him and his brother-in-law's life.

Lesson learned: don't mess with dangerous men.
