Ashton Kutcher Faces Backlash On Twitter After Supporting Ellen DeGeneres

Beloved Hollywood legend Ashton Kutcher is facing backlash after defending Ellen DeGeneres on Twitter earlier this week.

Of course, Ellen has been caught in a wave of controversy after current and former employees alleged they experienced a "toxic" work environment on her show.

Now, a few Hollywood faves are speaking out in defence of the 62-year-old. The latest celeb to do so is Ashton Kutcher.

In case you've missed one of the biggest news stories of the year so far, lemme fill you in real quick!

Buzzfeed News posted the initial explosive news story last month, which featured interviews from 1 current and 10 former Ellen Show employees.

The stories ranged from various degrees of unprofessionalism, with some employees claiming they were fired after taking medical leave or bereavement days, while others alleged they were told not to speak to Ellen if she was around the office.

After Ellen issued an apology, *Buzzfeed News* published a second article, claiming sexual misconduct at the hands of Ellen's executive producers!

The article detailed a host of allegations that ranged from inappropriate comments to sexual touching.

Naturally, this bad news travelled fast around social media.

Now, in an effort to defend Ellen, celebrities have been sharing their positive experiences with the talk show host.

One of those celebrities is Ashton Kutcher.

Taking to Twitter, Ashton wrote: "I haven’t spoken with @TheEllenShow and can only speak from my own experience. She & her team have only treated me & my team w/ respect & kindness. She never pandered to celebrity which I always saw as a refreshing honesty. When things aren’t right she handles it and fixes."

Unsurprisingly, Ashton's comments didn't help the case that Ellen treats her employees badly. It's not hard to believe a celebrity treats *another* celebrity well.

"Oh she treats billionaire A list guests well? You don’t say," tweeted one fan, to which Ashton replied: "1. I’m not a billionaire. 2. it extends to my team and people she didn’t even know I work with."

"I don’t doubt your account but still I’ve heard what seem to be credible accounts of her being toxic to her employees for over a decade and while I reserve judgment, there seems to be enough smoke there that the new accounts are credible, and perhaps your experience is irrelevant," commented one fan.

"Ellen being mean and nasty behind closed doors to her staff is old news to anyone who’s been paying attention. It’s been on gossip forums and blind items for years," responded another.
