Family Makes Incredible DIY 'Fixer Upper'-Inspired Playhouse

Lately, it seems that everyone has been trying their hand in some DIY projects at home. From tie-dying with kids to building new backyard adventures and toys, families are getting more creative than ever to try and make sure their kids have fun things to do at home. It goes to show that we're all secretly skilled.

One sister shared her family's DIY playhouse for their daughter.

Haley Curfman shared on Facebook that her family just loves Fixer Upper and the Gaines family. So, they decided to make a playhouse that was inspired by the family's market.

The Magnolia Market playhouse looks just like the one in real life.

Curfman wrote in her Facebook post:

"My brother, mom, and I made my 2-year-old niece a playhouse replica of the Market. It’s 4’X4’, complete with faux exposed rafters and hardwood floors, barn lighting, barn doors, a cupboard filled with tins, a little porch, and of course wall-to-wall Shiplap! Magnolia Table and the Silos Baking Co. are already in the making to add to her play area."

It really came out amazing!

From the doors to the lights to the outdoor little seating area, it looks exactly like it does in real life. And, it looks like this family put a lot of love into it.

Many people were asking if the playhouse was for sale.

However, the family has no plans to sell it.

"The playhouse is not for sale, and I don’t have any plans I can share. It was just designed on the fly. We just wanted to create a fun homemade playhouse for my niece that was different from things we had seen in stores and online for kids. I thought it turned out so cute I wanted to share. This was just made for little Reese’s personal use (her own little she-shed). Thank you all for the outpouring of kind words and kudos!" she said in her post.

If you're looking to build this on your own, here are some tips.

Haley shared that the base of the sign was made with measuring marks, blue tape, and paint. Also, they printed out the vinyl letters for the sign in the front.

They also used plumbing pipes for the chairs!

Talk about making the most of things at home. The chairs and the table rails are made out of plumbing pipes. The rest was mostly wood and a matter of cutting it in the right spots.

Of course, her niece loves it.

Haley told CafeMom:

"She has her own little 'she shed'! She's already filled her tin pots with flowers and weeds she's picked out of the yard and already taken a Crayon to a wall or two. I guess that's how kids put their mark on things!"

Obviously, this family has some serious skills!

The playhouse looks just like the real life Magnolia Market, so much so that the Gaines family would be absolutely impressed and blown away.

The family has some more plans to do some 'Fixer Upper'-themed projects, too.

And, we cannot wait to see the results. With over 6,000 shares on Facebook, it seems that everyone loves this project, too. Wish they could adopt me so I can get in on this fun!
