Twitter Trolls Kim Kardashian For 'Sending Everyone Lots Of Love' During Coronavirus Pandemic

As the pandemic, COVID-19, continues to spread across the globe, causing deaths, hysteria, and a seriously inconvenient toilet paper shortage, it's pretty much the only thing anybody's talking about right now — including celebs, like Kim Kardashian, who is currently being trolled on Twitter for "sending everyone lots of love" to her followers.

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last couple of weeks, you're probably well-aware of the strange times we're living in.

Gyms, bars, restaurants, and shopping centers are shutting down, sporting leagues are suspending their seasons, travel bans are being implemented, and festivals and concerts are being postponed.

Some countries, including Canada and the United States, have closed their borders to all non-essential travel.

Everyone is being encouraged to stay home and socially distance themselves for the next few weeks to lessen the spread of the virus.

So far, the death toll has reached over 8000, globally.

There have been over 200,000 reported cases in total, over 80,000 of which have recovered.

Human trials for a potential vaccine have started, but there is still a long way to go before this is all resolved.

All that to say, this is a serious situation that is affecting everyone right now.

So, while everyone is feeling the stress of the Coronavirus, Kim Kardashian did what she does best!

She took to social media, inadvertently turning herself into a target for trolls to poke fun at.

Although plenty of wealthy celebs have done their part to contribute to fundraisers aimed at making things easier on everyone — like Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, for instance, who donated $1 million to food banks, Kim K took a different approach.

A very different approach...

This is how Kim is contributing to the immediate global crisis that humanity is facing:

And while this may have been completely genuine, fans thought it was a bit tone deaf – all things considered.

This was the general response from the public to Kim's fairly insignificant gesture:

Nobody's interested in "love" when what they really need is money, in these financially trying times.

Fans were seemingly annoyed by Kim's predictable behaviour — telling her that now is not the time for selfies.

Read the room, Kim.

This person suggested a way that Kim could actually make a difference.

Considering the US is struggling to provide enough testing kits, hospital beds, and masks to go around, she may want to consider sending money instead of love.

Another person replied with this famous clip of Kourtney scolding Kim for crying over the loss of a diamond earring on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians".

As funny as this is, it's also sad because it's profoundly true...

Another fan sarcastically pointed out how helpful Kim's "duck" lips are during this difficult time.

I'm sure everyone would have much rather preferred a more practical contribution. But hey, Kim's got her hands full these days freeing inmates.

One good deed at a time!

Others bluntly let her know that the last thing they need is her love, and the first thing they need is more testing kits.

Hopefully, she gets the message!

This fan hilarioiusly requested that instead of being sent "love", they'd like to be sent toilet paper instead.

If you've been to the grocery store lately, then you know firsthand just how scarce toilet paper is right now...

It is a very hot commodity.

What do you think of Kim Kardashian's latest selfie, "sending everyone lots of love"?
