Kirk Douglas Left $50 Million To Charity

Kirk Douglas left most of his $60 million estate to charity, reports The Mirror.

The Hollywood actor died at the age of 103 on February 5th.

He was best known for his role in "Spartacus," in which he was also the executive producer.

Kirk was the father to Joel, Peter, Michael and the late Eric Douglas.

Thanks to Michael's acting career, he's worth about $300 million in his own right, according to Page Six.

Throughout his career, Kirk maintained the reputation of being a very charitable man, and it seems that legacy has continued after his death.

"The Mirror" reports that Kirk has shared his $61 million fortune by giving away $50 million to the Douglas Foundation.

The Douglas Foundation aims to "help those who cannot otherwise help themselves."

Some of the beneficiaries for the Douglas Foundation include St. Lawrence University,

They will fund a scholarship for minority and underprivileged students; Westwood's Sinai Temple, which houses the Kirk and Anne Douglas Childhood Center; Culver City's Kirk Douglas Theatre, and the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles.
