Rick Moranis Returns To The Big Screen After 24-Year Hiatus For 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids' Reboot

Rock Moranis fans rejoice! The iconic actor is stepping back into the spotlight after a 24-year hiatus, and it's to revive one of his most iconic roles ever!

As you may recall, Rick decided to take a step back from acting in the late nineties, following his wife Ann Belsky’s battle with breast cancer.

The beloved costume designer tragically passed away in February 1991.

Rick slowly left public life to focus on being a father to his two children.

But as he told The Hollywood Reporter back in 2015, he never formally retired.

"I took a break, which turned into a longer break," he told the publication.

"But I’m interested in anything that I would find interesting. I still get the occasional query about a film or television role and as soon as one comes along that piques my interest."

Well, it seems Rick has found what interesting him, and it's a reboot of "Honey I Shrunk The Kids," the 1989 classic!

The new film is titled Shrunk and will be directed by Joe Johnston., the same director who worked on the first film!

The reboot will take place decades after the first, with Hollywood SWEETIE Josh Gad starring as Rick's grown-up son.

The news was confirmed by Rick himself who simply tweeted "HONEY, IM BACK!"

AHHHH!

Josh tweeted that it was a total dream come true to work with the actor.

WE'RE SO EXCITED FOR THIS!
