"If you have a gut feeling something isn't right, then it's probably not right."

These are the wise words echoed by a mother who went through a terrifying ordeal with her daughter. They recorded a man who was following them in a store and even recorded them.

Thanks to the video going viral, the man was able to be identified and charged with stalking.

Earlier this month, another TikToker went viral for recording a man following her.

This scary incident happened to Samantha MacIntyre, a 24-year-old jogger who has been training for her second marathon. During one of her recent runs, she noticed a man in a red car following her.

"There's a guy in a red car that's driven by me twice,” she said while running.

“And every time he drives by me, he has his arm out the window and he's, like, looking behind when he's driving by. It's making me really nervous."

Her gut feeling told her that something was wrong.

When the man parked near the parking lot where her car was, she panicked with tears and reached out to a nearby homeowner who she often saw outside, playing with his kids.

From the safety of his home, she was able to call both the police and her mother.

"Obviously that run did not go as planned,” she said when she was back safely in her car. “Just please be aware of your surroundings when you are going on runs."

"Carry protection with you," she continued.

"Just be safe. If you have a gut feeling that something doesn't feel right, please go with that gut feeling. You'd rather be safe than sorry," she added. “I’m glad I called the police, I'm glad I called my parents to come pick me up."

Another woman who trusted her gut feeling is MaryBeth Nappa.

She's a mother who went viral for sharing a video of a man following her and her nine-year-old daughter while they were school shopping at Walmart in Cicero, a suburb of Syracuse.

"So this guy is like following me in Walmart while I'm with my daughter," she said in the clip.

She zoomed in to show a man who was recording her with short brown hair and wearing a red tank top.

"He keeps following me. I don't know him, and he's following me and recording me."

This brave mom did the right thing by showing an employee the footage, who then alerted the manager to get the man out of the store.

"Always be aware of your surroundings and report," she concluded in a video.

Since the viral video was taken, MaryBeth found out that the man, Eric Fuller, is a Class 1 Registered Sex Offender who was arrested for molestation and rape.

He had just gotten off parole when he began following MaryBeth and her daughter.

The man has since turned himself in and has been charged with fourth-degree stalking. Since posting the video, other people have shared their experiences of being stalked by the man.

"The [expletive[ way he was at the Walmart in Oneonta…. And he chased me while I was training for Bassett," one wrote.

Others applauded the mother for her brave actions. "Good job for recording and capturing the moment plus talking to the worker and calling the cops!"
