Taylor Swift, 35, who is currently dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, has faced a hard blow to her Instagram after being booed during her boyfriend’s game in the Super Bowl LIX.
The infamous singer had fans booing at her when the camera focused on her, which in turn led to countless fans unfollowing her and President Donald Trump gloating over her misfortune.

Swift lost a lot of followers
According to SportsMillions, Swift lost 144,200 followers on Instagram and the Social Blade’s report stated a bigger number. Many would believe that the artist’s account could suffer drastically because of such a downfall.
However, her Instagram had a total of over 282 million followers so, it was a delicately soft blow to her account.
She hasn’t addressed the booing
Neither Swift nor her boyfriend addressed the booing themselves, however, a source close to Kelce did, telling the DailyMail:
“Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him. He always protects her and it broke his heart.”
It wasn’t an easy night for Kelce as well
The source continued about the couple, saying: “He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn’t help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this.”
Why the fans might be booing her
“It’s clear to many that the Eagles fans feel she is a traitor of sorts – being from Pennsylvania and even wearing Eagles gear prior to dating him,” the source speculated. It doesn’t help her case that the majority of the fans in the match were Eagles fans.
Kelce thinks that Trump’s post was uncalled for
“Travis believes that it was unnecessary for Trump to take a dig at her especially after he voiced that he was honored for a president to be there. After Taylor being shut out for a Grammy and Travis losing the biggest game of the year it just hasn’t been a good week for them,” the source continued.
Trump also showed Swift no mercy
Trump took to his platform, Truth Social, on that day to say: “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving.”
