Rapper Kanye West has gone viral for a plethora of stunts in the past week alone. Among them was showing up to the 2025 Grammys with his wife Bianca Censori who stood in nothing but a sheer dress, as well as a social media spiral last week where he praised Hitler and Nazis.
As for his latest move, Kanye bought an ad at the Super Bowl, which aired last night on Sunday, and it’s safe to say it is just as bizarre as his other stunts.

He bought a 30-second ad
West bought a 30 second ad to be played at the Super Bowl LIX on Sunday 9 February. The ad aired in the second quarter of the match between Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
It showed the rapper in a medical facility, wearing sunglasses, and talking to his phone.
West was showing his teeth
In the ad, West decided he would show his “new teeth” to the Super Bowl audience.
“What’s up guys. I spent all the money for the commercial on these new teeth,” he said in the clip.
West promoted his brand
The rapper also told people to head to his brand’s website but seemed to have not planned what he was going to say beforehand.
He said, “So once again I had to shoot it on the iPhone. Erm… uhm…. go to Yeezy.com.”
People were divided by this
Fans and users online had divided reactions, with some casually wondering how he gets the time and money to buy a Super Bowl ad and film it on his phone, while others seemed actually upset at his conduct.
Users said he had too much time
Some noted how the rapper seems to have too much free time, with one user writing, “This dude got too much money and time on his hands man.” Another also said, “Bro got too much free time, wtf. This guy man.”
Other users were just confused, with one writing, “What the hell is going on?”
Super Bowl ads cost millions
An Advert slot at the 2025 Super Bowl cost up to $8 million with every second of an advert costing its buyer around $266,666.
So you can imagine people’s shock at the 47-year-old buying a 30-second ad slot to seemingly have nothing to say.
West has bought a Super Bowl ad before
This isn’t the first time West buys an ad at the Super Bowl, having bought another 30-second slot that he also filmed himself last year.
The ad from 2024 seemed to have been shot inside a car, with the rapper speaking to his front camera.
He used it to promote his brand back then too
In the ad from last year, he said, “Hey y’all, this is Ye, and this is my commercial. And since we spent all the money on the commercial spot, we actually – we didn’t spend any money on the actual commercial.”
“But the idea is I want you to go to Yeezy.com. I’m gonna write it at the bottom of the screen and I got some shoes and hmmm… that’s it.”
Yeezy is West’s media and fashion brand
In case you’re still unaware, Yeezy is Kanye West’s personal media and fashion brand.
His ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, worked with him on bringing it to life and sometimes models for the company.
West seems to put little effort into Yeezy
West had also had a partnership with Adidas for the shoe line’s production until he went on a series of anti-semitic rants online that prompted the company to end the partnership.
It seems the rapper doesn’t see the need to put in more than a little effort and a huge amount of money into promoting the brand.
