I am such a big fan of #Lifehacks , especially when they actually work. But sadly, that isn’t always the case. There are plenty of questionable hacks out there that are useless.
So, I wanted to share with you a few clever ideas , and then counter them with some pretty crappy ones. I hope they will both enlighten and entertain you. Let me know which one impressed you the most and which one made you LOL the most.
1. This Awesome Salt Shaker
Check this out somebody was tired of struggling to get the salt out of this container, so they came up with a neat trick. They inserted the salt shaker cap into it and voilà!
This Shocking Shower Rig-Up
Um, what in the heck is going on here? What kind of shower rig-up is this, huh? I may not be an electrician (my dad was one, by the way), but even I know that this doesn’t look right. Electric shock, anyone?
2. This Smartphone Hook-Up
Why is it that all the phone chargers have such short cables, huh? I don’t get that. No wonder people have to come up with clever solutions just so they can charge up. Am I right?
This Dumb Decor Idea
If you’ve ever ridden a horse, you know that saddles aren’t all that comfortable to sit on. So why would anybody think that mounting them to bar stools was going to be a pleasant experience? Um, no!
3. This Amazing Garbage Hack
Isn’t it annoying when you pile garbage into that garbage bag, and it slips out of the bin? Uh, I hate that. And I’m sure so does this person too. That’s why they used a 3M hanger upside down to keep the trash bag in place.
This Dangerous Knife Rack
Fancy yourself a DIY knife rack? Oh, yeah! That could look awesome, right? Well, as long as you don’t do what this person did here. One knock and everything falls off. It’s surely a quick way to stab yourself in the foot.
4. This Simple Snack Hack
Open a snack bag like this, and it won’t fall. And it also gives you an excuse to eat the entire bag, haha. No kidding, huh? I guess this hack here only works if you do eat the entire bag. Otherwise, you might need to stick to the old-fashioned way of opening it.
This Questionable Light Fixture
I’m always fascinated by beautiful and effective light fixtures. However, I can’t say the same about this one here. First of all, why would anybody use a paddle? And then just string some random lights on it? I’m totally baffled.
5. This Public Bathroom Hack
“In a porta-potty (or any public bathroom without a purse hook), keep your purse off the floor by putting a strap through the handle and balancing the purse in its own strap!”
Oh my goodness, I need to try that ASAP.
This Odd Car Paint Job
Why spend money on expensive car paint when you could just put the trusted tape to work? Hmm, if you like the look of this car job, then go ahead and do that. I, for one, will stick with the paint, ha, ha.
6. This Awesome Packing Idea
Okay, this is seriously one of my favorite moving hacks. I did exactly that when we moved the last time, and it was so much easier than employing my entire closet and packing it away. Have you used this trick before?
This Weird Steering Wheel Idea
I’ve seen some bedazzled steering wheels before, and I admit some of them look fun. However, when you have so much crap going on, how can you even focus on the road? This can’t be safe to drive, huh?
7. This DIY Home Theater
Oh my goodness, ha, ha. What’s going on here? Well, if you want to experience a home theater, you can definitely make this yourself. Now you can feel like Nicolas Cage is speaking right to you.

Okay, first of all, I did something like this when I was a child. So is this a groundbreaking backpack hack? No! Not at all. It’s just a dumb idea, that’s all. Do you agree with me on that one?
8. This Handy Tool
“Needed an air pump to blow up the kiddie pool. MacGyvered this bad boy.”
Okay, as much as I like what this person created, I need to see it in action to fully support this plan. How about you? Do you think this would actually work, or it is just wishful thinking on their part?
These Odd Skates
Um, let me ask you: would you skate on something like this? Well, since I loved roller skating as a kid, I can see the appeal. However, I can tell you right now that I value my legs more than I do experiments, so that would be a “no” for me.
9. This Medicine Bottle Hack
“Use an open flame to remove identifying info on empty medications! No more picking with fingernails.”
Hmm, I really need to try that. It’s always a pain trying to block the info on those medicine bottles. I usually use a sharpie, but this could work, too.
This Poor Ramen Fork Hack
Ramen lovers might get a kick out of this ill-conceived fork hack. I mean, I think by the time you try to turn a spoon into a fork using toothpicks, you could probably just go out a get a fork, huh?
Well, what’s the verdict on these hacks?
Do you say “yay” to them or “nay,” huh? I guess this article proves that for as many good hacks that are out there, so are they bad ones, ha, ha. Am I right? And these days with the internet, you never know what you’re going to stumble upon. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. That’s just a fact of life.
