VMAs Host Sebastian Maniscalco Is Getting Dragged For Tasteless Jokes About 'Triggered Millennials'

The VMAs were emotional for us all. Miley's performance of "Slide Away" left us all gagged.

Lizzo chugging tequila on stage had our wigs snatched.

John Travolta mistaking look-a-like drag queen Jade Jolie for Taylor Swift was riveting and upsetting all at once.

But nothing shocked and confused people more than the choice of host, comedian Sebastian Maniscalco.

I was apparenrtly (???) one of the few people who actually knew who he was, so YEAH sure, I was EXCITED.

But oh, honey...

Sebastian opened the show with a tbh GREAT bit about his mom cooking for 20,000 people backstage, but things took a *swift* nosedive afterwards.

He then thought that going into a monologue about how ridiculous safe spaces and trigger warnings are was a good call, which it absolutely was not.

You could hear a pin drop in that place.

People felt Sebastian as a host was disconnected to the younger audience, which begs the real question— who is the audience?

It seems MTV has missed the target on it's demographic by trying to appeal to literally everyone.

Of course, a lot of people did think he was funny and loved the attitude he brought to the show.
