John Travolta Messed Up At The VMAs And We're Embarrassed For Him
John Travolta made an apperance at the 2019 VMAs to hand out the award for Video of the Year.

Alongside QUEEN Latifah, John was truly as set up for success as he could be.
Which God knows he needed, as award show presenting hasn't gone super well for him in the past.
And when it came time to announce the nominees, he passed on the duty, acknowledging that he would find a way to mess it up.
Obviously, he was referring to the time he referred to Idina Menzel as "the wickedly talented Adele Dazeem" at the Oscars.
Needless to say, he didn't want a repeat of that disaster.

Hey, at least he's self-aware, right.
But just when he thought he was in the clear...he wasn't.
Taylor Swift ended up winning for You Need To Calm Down, and she invited the entire cast of her video on stage to accept it with her.
Taylor brought up all the the iconic drag queens featured in her video.

In fact, she demanded they all receive engraved Moonmen of their own!
In the hustle and bustle of the win, John seemed to be confused as he tried to hand the award off to Taylor's look-alike and drag queen, Jade Jolie.

It was honestly the wildest thing that happened all night!
It looks like everyone was able to laugh it off, though!
But just... very cringey, ya know? Lol.
"RuPaul's Drag Race Fans" will know what a full circle moment this is for Jolie.

Appearing in season five of the franchise, Jade Joile impersonated Taylor Swift in the show's "Snatch Game" episode.
It was a notoriously BAD performance and Jolie was kicked off the show soon after.
So when she appeared in T-Swift's music video AS Taylor, it was iconic!
And to be mistaken for her? A double win!
Drag Race fans can't get enough!
I personally can't thank the universe enough for this!
It completely made the show for me.
If anything, it added some spice!
How thrilling to never know what will come out of this man's mouth!
As for John, we're sure he'll live this down.
Just give it a few more years.
But guys don't worry, here he is partying with some drag queens, Todrick Hall, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and the *real* Taylor Swift.
