Moms Are Getting Very Real On A Viral TikTok About How Kids Make Their Parents Look

Being a parent is a lot of hard work. Every day, we give our all to try and parent and raise our children in the best way and many days, it feels like we are failing.

Our kids may be innocent and sweet sometimes, but when they talk about us to other people, we seem like the worst parents in the world.

Our kids spend tons of time with other people throughout their lives.

Whether it's at school or camp, or even out with friends at playdates, kids aren't with us 24/7. And, sometimes when they talk about us, the things they say are so honest it makes us look like horrible, no good, very bad parents.

While it's not on purpose, it's totally brutal.

Our kids don't actually think we are terrible parents, but those small moments where we may not be seen in the best light, they love to fixate on them and focus on those times, rather than the ones where we nurture and love them.

One mom on TikTok recently shared how her own child made her look like a bad mom.

TikTok user @sjfogie shared a video that is the most relatable part of parenthood, that her own 6-year-old made her look like a "horrible mom" when completing a worksheet for school.

The worksheet was about "feelings."

The worksheet says "I can stop and name my feeling," and is all about when kids are feeling different emotions. The picture was a drawing to show what happened when they were feeling that particular emotion.

That picture looks brutal.

But even more brutal than the picture is what it says the photo is. The picture says "when my mom laughed at me when I fell." The drawing looks like he got pretty badly hurt.

Obviously, this mom feels like she looks pretty damn bad.

I'm sure that teacher has a ton of thoughts about her parenting and how she treats her son after he shares this with the entire class. But, many moms shared that this TikTok mom is far from alone.

Moms began to share their own "bad mom" stories.

"Yep my daughter said 'mums happier when she takes her medicine up her nose' …… it’s nose spray I had a blocked nose/allergies," one mom commented on the TikTok user's video.

This definitely got a phone call home!

This is terribly embarrassing.

"My 4 yr old who took a bath with me the night before...told teacher 'my mom is part bear. yeah, she has hairy parts like a bear.'"

Imagine having your private parts on display for the class!? Yikes!

Yes, blame mom for all of the world's pollution.

"My son wrote 'I can stop pollution by telling my mom to stop throwing garbage out the window' it was a banana peel one time," said another mom on the video.

They always remember the one time you do the wrong thing!

Oh no!

"My youngest told his teacher that I starve him at home + he has to beg for food. what he meant is that I don't give him chocolate every day," said another mom, who likely almost had an investigation on her hands.

One even wrote an essay!

"My son wrote a whole essay titled 'Mom why you lie?' and drew me hiding behind the refrigerator after I pretended not to be home for someone," said another mom.

These kids, they say the darndest things!
