Twitter Stunned By Bill Which Exceeds $2,000 At Salt Bae’s Newest Steakhouse

The internet celebrity chef best known simply as "Salt Bae" has been going viral yet again — however, this time it is due to an insane bill that was shared by a customer at his newly opened Nusr-Et Steakhouse in London, UK.

When one customer was presented with the bill which exceeded $2,000, they shared it on Twitter — and Twitter had some thoughts.

Salt Bae opened his long-awaited steakhouse in London late last week.

The Nusr-Et Steakhouse has many locations, but London is the most recent to have opened.

One customer, Jamil Amin, who has since attended the new location was aghast to receive a bill of £1,812.40, that's over $2,450. The customer shared the receipt writing:

"44 great British pounds for 4 redbulls… having a laugh."

The price of the Red Bulls was not the only thing that caused people to gasp.

The receipt showed a single steak priced at £630, as well as a "Golden Burger" priced at £100. Although, the £44 Red Bulls and £9 Coke were what a lot of people were aghast at.

Jamil went on to write, "don't get me wrong I’m all for fine dining and good food but that's just f****** extortionate."

It seems that the price has dissuaded a lot of people from attending, even if the option of a "golden" steak is available.

Yes, Salt Bae's steakhouses provide a menu option where you can have certain items of food covered in a thin layer of gold because...well, for no reason other than saying you have eaten a steak, or burger, covered in gold.

Jamil's picture of his receipt has since garnered over 23,000 likes.

In response to the tweet, many people have been quick to share their own thoughts on the restaurant's prices, with some responses including the likes of:

"Everything is wrong on that. But 2 cokes £18?? Saw you coming mate."

"Someone, please explain the economics of a £630 steak?"

"Good god almighty, that's not fine dining, it's just a massive p*ss take."

Some people were simply shocked that this person had eaten a steak with a Red Bull.

It does seem like a strange drink to pair with a steak dinner, maybe if you were trying to cram for an exam over a 48 hour period then a Red Bull would be right choice?

While a lot of people may be shocked by the price, it seems that there are still some people out there who want to drop over half a grand on a golden steak...which is a bizarre statement on its own!
