How often do you use your washing machine ? Is it every day, every week, or monthly? Well, if you use it a lot, listen up. Did you know that you have to clean your washing machine’s agitator? Oh, yes, that’s right.
I have found something else for you to clean , ha, ha! Okay, but once you see this, you can’t unsee it, so let’s check it out.

If you have one of those old-style washing machines, you need to pay close attention to this.
As it turns out, there’s an agitator that you need to clean. Um, to be honest, I didn’t even know what it was, ha, ha!
Seriously, I had to look it up.
Anyway, this one woman discovered this fact, and she shared a very revealing video on TikTok. In this video, you see her removing the top part of the agitator, and this is what she found.
OMG, yuck! What the heck is that?
I can’t believe all of that was there. If you’ve never cleaned the agitator before, you will probably find something similar. I’ll admit when I saw this part of the video, I was grossed out.
Now you will need to get all this gross stuff cleaned off.
This lady recommends soaking the agitator in a solution of boiling water and bleach. If you’re doing it for the first time, that’s totally fine. But refrain from using such a harsh solution in the subsequent cleaning jobs.
You wouldn’t want your washing machine to become prone to rust.
In the meantime, you’ve got some scrubbing to do. She literally went to town scrubbing the rest of that agitator down. And it’s even grosser so bear with me here.

To say that people were shocked and horrified would be an understatement.
I mean, what the heck? Why didn’t anybody tell us about this? Oh, wait, maybe it’s in the manual. But, who even reads that? Not me, that’s for sure.
Many people lamented that now they have another thing they have to clean.
Where does it all stop? First, we find out we have to remove our toilet seats and now this. I can’t even keep up. Who’s got the time for that?
