Happy Monday, everyone!
The Super Bowl was last night and I can’t tell you which team won, how many touchdowns were made, or who the MVP was.

What I can tell you is that Jennifer Lopez , 50, and Shakira , 43, were by far the most impressive athletes of the evening.
If you’re anything like me, you only tuned in to the Super Bowl last night to watch Demi Lovato sing the anthem and Shakira and J-Lo show us the meaning of immortality.
I am still shook over it.
Their performances alone — without taking their ages into consideration — were enough to blow my hair back.
I mean, in all seriousness, regardless of age, these women put on one of the most iconic shows I’ve ever had the privilege of watching.
But once you factor in the fact that Shakira is 43 and J-Lo is 50, it’s a whole other ball game. Pun intended.
I am in the physical prime of my life and there is not a chance I could keep up with these women.
Jennifer Lopez is half a century old — old enough to be somebody’s grandmother, and she is better looking, in better shape, and more limber than anyone I have ever seen.
And don’t even get me started on Shakira. Her hips don’t lie, but her skin is telling me she’s 25.
I don’t know what to believe anymore.
I demand to know their skin care, fitness, and nutrition regimes.
I need to know their secret to looking the way they do besides genetics. There has to be something they know that I don’t.
While my 24-year-old self-esteem definitely took a hit watching their performances, it was also inspiring to know that there is a glimmer of hope that it is possible to look and move like that at 43 and 50 years old.
Forget everything you think you know about being 50. J-Lo just set the new standard.
Shakira and J-Lo have set the bar high AF.
Not just as far as Super Bowl halftime show performances go, but aging as well!
My takeaway from this is that from now on, I’m going to eat nothing by veggies, drink nothing but water, and work out for six hours a day.
It’s the only way.
They are #Goals. Excuse me while I go run 10K.
I don’t know who their personal trainers are, but they deserve some major recognition, and I’d like to hire them no matter the cost.
Surely, I don’t need to remind you guys because I’m guessing it’s still vivid and fresh in your memory, but J-Lo pole danced.

I can barely climb a flight of stairs without being out of breath.
Shakira is belly dancing, J-Lo is pole dancing, and I had to take a break blow-drying my hair the other day because my arm got sore.
I have to catch my breath after putting jeans on.
There is something very magical and unfair about those Latina genes…
They do not know how to age and it’s really making the rest of us look bad.
J-Lo is easily the youngest looking middle-aged person I have ever seen.
I’m not even entirely convinced that she is actually 50, but we’ll save that conspiracy theory for another day.
After seeing the halftime show, I’ve never felt more inspired to do squats in my entire life.
Hell, I’ll even throw some push-ups in there if it means I can have a body like Shakira or J-Lo.
