Listen, ladies, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But Keanu Reeves is officially taken.
I know this must be difficult to hear.
I’ll give you a moment to process and accept this new information.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve been deeply invested in making Keanu Reeves your boyfriend since “Point Break.”
But it seems that his longtime collaborative partner, visual artist Alexandra Grant has beat us to the punch.
On Saturday evening, Keanu and Alexandra went public by holding hands at an event — flaunting their budding romance in front of the photographers.
It was an earth-shattering moment for all of us…
While neither of them have actually made an official statement confirming or denying their relationship, it’s assumed.
And all jokes aside, we’re happy for them! Fans are actually applauding Keanu for dating an “age-appropriate” woman rather than someone half his age.
For the record, Alexandra is 46 and Keanu is 55.
If you ask me, they are a very lovely looking couple.
They look like the kind of couple that would have you and your significant other over for a wine-tasting night. I love it.
For the most part, fans are applauding Keanu for stepping out with a girlfriend for the first time in decades.
He deserves nothing but love and support from his fans!
However, a disappointingly large number of fans actually mistook Alexandra for Helen Mirren, who is 74-years-old.
Let’s get one thing straight.
Just because she has grey hair doesn’t mean she’s automatically 74-years-old.
This person actually pulled up side-by-side photos of Helen and Alexandra.
Can we please stop the assumption that when women begin to have grey hair they have to dye it otherwise they’re suddenly 74? Thanks!
Although the criticism over Alexandra’s look is definitely harsh, she’s dating Keanu Reeves. Can she even be bothered at this point?
If I were dating him, there is nothing that could ever phase me again for the rest of my life.

Women in Hollywood most definitely have the short end of the stick when it comes to aging.
There really is a clear double standard going on here.

I hate to quote The Lizzie McGuire Movie right now, as it has absolutely no correlation to what we’re discussing — but this is what dreams are made of .
This comparison is everything.
We’re not likely to get a live-action version of Howl’s Moving Castle , but if we did, I think I’d know who I’d be very down to cast in the parts.

According to some theories , Keanu is actually immortal, which makes this sort of an Edward and Bella from Twilight situation. Only better, because it’s Keanu.
Maybe the double standard goes further than we thought?
Emma Watson recently stated she would rather say she’s “self partnered” than “single” — and there’s no way to date someone closer in age to you than by dating yourself!
All jokes aside, we’re all happy that Keanu’s happy.
He really does deserve it!
