Newly Surfaced Video Shows Prince Harry Pitching Meghan To Disney CEO For Acting Role
As you may have already heard, last week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they will be taking a "step back" as senior members of the royal family.
The pair shared their statement in an Instagram post.
“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution," the statement reads.
"We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen."
"It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment."
"We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages."
"This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity."
"We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support."
In the wake of their announcement, rumors have circulated that the royal couple had been planning on separating themselves from their royal duties for quite some time.
It's no secret that the British tabloids haven't taken too kindly to Meghan since she joined the royal family.
So, it is equally unsurprising that Harry would want to protect his wife and child from the relentless harrassment forced on them by the press, by removing them from the public eye altogether, ASAP.
Honestly, Harry is the real MVP for sacrificing his position in the royal family for the good of his own.

Evidently, Harry and Meghan's decision to depart the monarchy was something they had been plotting for a while — as a video of Harry pitching Meghan to the CEO of Disney for an acting role has just surfaced.
And it looks like Harry campaigning for his wife actually paid off!
Since their announcement, you may have heard that Meghan recently signed a deal with Disney to do some voiceover work.
She may have Harry to thank for that ...
Back in July, at the "Lion King" premiere, while everyone's focus was on Beyonce, Harry and Meghan took the opportunity to put in some face-time with the CEO of Disney, Bob Iger.
Somehow, this encounter managed to sneak past all of us — until now, that is.
As Meghan was hugging Beyonce, Harry can be seen behind her, chatting it up with Bob about Meghan's resumé.

“You know she does voiceovers,” Harry seems to be saying to Bob in the video.
“Oh really?," Bob responds, as Harry adds, “She’s really interested.”
“Sure, we’d love to try," Bob warmly concludes.
Sorry, to repeat this, but I feel like it needs to be reiterated:
Harry is #HusbandGoals. Period.
Six months later, Harry and Meghan split from the royal family and Meghan lands a voiceover deal with Disney. Coincidence? I think not.

While many people are up in arms over this entire transition, Meghan fans are loving it!
I, for one, am celebrating the fact that Meghan was prepared to give up her career entirely to marry Harry and join his family, and now he is doing the same for her.
This is what marriage is all about, people!
