Let me ask you something, are you a fan of an old-fashioned margarita ? Oh, yes! Sign me up. It’s definitely one of my favorites. But did you know that now you can put a twist on that classic drink right in time for Halloween ?
That’s right. Let me present you with a spooky version that will satisfy any discerning tastes. Are you ready? Let’s go.
I don’t know about you but I love Halloween.

Every year, I try to do something different for my beloved time of the season. Whether it’s a special decor piece I’ve been eyeing or a costume that I can’t wait to try out — Halloween is my go-to holiday.
And this year is no different.

This time it’s one of my all-time favorite drinks that gets a spooky remake. Yes, a classic margarita can now be the funniest drink you can offer your mates on Halloween. So let me tell you how to make it.
First, you need some staples.

So get that silver tequila, triple sec, and lime juice. Then you will need a few special touches. I’m talking about some red, blue, and green food coloring and some black sanding sugar. Or you can get some blue curacao and raspberry liqueur to get the color instead of the triple sec.
How do you make it?

It’s easy. Here’s the recipe:
2 tbsp. black sanding sugar
2 c. ice
4 oz. silver tequila
2 oz. triple sec
1/2 c. lime juice
Red food coloring
Blue food coloring
Green food coloring
Lime slices, for garnish
Now on to the assembly.

You will need to rim two glasses with a lime slice and dip them in black sanding sugar. You can find the sugar on Amazon. Then divide the tequila, triple sec, and lime juice between two glasses and stir to combine.
Now just add food coloring until desired black color is achieved and voilà!
Then you can add ice and garnish with a slice of lime before serving. Oh, wow! How cool is that, huh? I can’t wait to try that, haha. I definitely like the sound of that.
Something tells me, your friends will be impressed when you serve them this spooky drink.
I know I would be. I don’t know about you, but I’m always up for trying a new drink version, especially if it’s something I already adore. So this particular drink really appeals to me.
Here’s a handy tip, though.

If I were you, I would drink this with a straw. That way, your tongue won’t turn black. Unless this is the look you’re going for, haha. On the other hand, you might scare more people that way. Do you know what I’m saying? So suit yourself, hehe.
What do you think of this?

Does this spooky margarita appeal to you? Since I’m a bit of an amateur bartender, I would love to try this new concoction. That’s for sure. It might be fun to serve at your next Halloween-inspired soiree. I think your guests might appreciate a special touch like this, eh?
