Identical Twin sisters and TikTok influencers Ari and Noe Chance, 22, have pulled a stunt that ended up backfiring on them.
Ari took advantage of having a doppelgänger and let her sister Noe cover for her at work so she could go on vacation after Ari’s boss refused to give her time off. However, their plan didn’t go as planned.
Having a twin is a double-edged sword
Having an identical twin is a special and rare occurrence. However, it can be hectic as people can easily mix up between yourself and your twin. On the other hand, you can take the resemblance to your advantage and make good use of it.
We all need a break
It is normal that from time to time, you’d want a break from work to recharge. However, a rejected leave means that you sorrowfully have to go to work, but not in Ari and Noe’s case, they devised a solid plan so that Ari could get her time off.
Their fatal mistake
Noe appeared in a TikTok video from her and her twin’s shared account which has over 800,000 followers, where she captioned it with: “Me replacing my twin at work while she’s on a trip because her leave request got denied.” Unfortunately for them, one of the viewers was Ari’s boss.
“WE MESSED UP”
Ari updated viewers about her status through a TikTok video that was captioned: “My boss saw the video my twin posted while covering for me at work.” The twins also added, “WE MESSED UP.” The video also showed a furious email from her boss.
Her “unacceptable behavior”
The boss expressed his dissatisfaction with what happened in a long email, saying that what the twins did was a “blatant disrespect” to the company and its employees.
He also warned that “any further instances of misconduct will result in serious consequences, including potential disciplinary action.”
“A slap in the face”
Her boss wrote in the email: “Your decision to enlist your twin sister as a substitute while you gallivant off on vacation after your leave request was denied is completely unacceptable. It’s a slap in the face to both your colleagues who abide by the rules and the company that entrusts you with responsibilities.”
The boss is not taking it lightly
The angry boss assertively demanded an apology, an “immediate explanation” for what happened and why, and a “plan of action” to fix the incident. The Canadian twin sisters have not posted further updates about her current status at work.
Some claim it’s fake
Some viewers questioned the credibility of the email, saying, “Say it with me now, digital footprints people,” and another saying, “That’s clearly not a real email.” Another user expressed their skepticism, stating, “It’s a fake email.”
Others are eager for a continuation
Many are anticipating a continuation of the story, with some of them saying: “I NEED to know what your response to this is because WHAT.” Another also asked: “How were you not fired on the spot?”, and someone else left a comment, saying: “And making another TikTok is crazyyyy.”
“Disappointed regards”
The Canadian TikTok influencer’s boss, John, ended the letter with a unique “Disappointed regards,” that caught the readers’ attention, with one of them hilariously saying: “Disappointed regards is my new favorite signature.”
What is your take on this? Do you think that incident is real or do you agree with the users that say it’s fake?
