Many of us are coffee addicts who need our regular dose of Joe every single day.
Without coffee, we can’t make it through our day and get our life together. Us coffee addicts know it’s really the caffeine we need, but making it ourselves isn’t always the “best.” We love those expensive and pretty drinks from places like Starbucks, right?
While we do love coffee shops, it can be rather expensive.
Starbucks and other coffee shops are amazing and delicious, but spending money on coffee every single day can add up to a total that many people would have a heart attack over.
If you think about it, you can save a ton of money by making coffee at home.
Many don’t realize that the “daily coffee” you get from your favorite coffee shop can be really cutting into your salary.
Making your coffee at home every day can save you so much money, you may not even realize it
And, most of the time, you can hardly tell the difference.
If you make your coffee at home and use the right products and add-ins, you can probably make the coffee the same, if not better, than the local coffee shop you hit up to pay every single day.
One woman recently shared how she tricked her own husband into believing in it.
One TikTok user shared a video of how she tricks her husband into thinking she goes out of her way every single day to go to Starbucks and get him an expensive iced coffee beverage.
The wife bulk ordered plastic Starbucks cups.
You can find these online and pay a small fee for a bulk order of cups that have the Starbucks logo on them. Then, she makes some regular Costco coffee at home, which she also gets in bulk.
She uses some caramel syrup.
Getting a bottle of caramel syrup is easy and can be gotten at any grocery store. She also tops it with whipped cream to make it all authentic and real. And before you know it, there’s your $6 Starbucks drink.
Her husband doesn’t even realize.
The drink looks so authentic and real, he never even knows that it’s homemade and cost 1/2-3/4 of the price. In fact, if she didn’t post the video and have it go viral, he probably would have never known.
People online loved the idea.
Many said this was brilliant and a fantastic way to save money and cut down their own expenses, as they are guilty of also spending too much money on buying coffee from outside of their home.
Others said the husband seems like a j**k.
Other comments said that this husband seems like a real j**k if he truly expects his wife to go to Starbucks every single day and buy him a coffee…every single day. While it’s “both of their money” it’s still time wasted.
Many said this is “proof that marketing works.”
“Pure evidence that most people are guilty of. Looking the part instead of being the part. Dude is drinking Starbucks because he thinks nothing is better than Starbucks. Marketing has done its job,” one person said.
Others chimed in and said that they want to try this themselves.
Some have husbands or wives, or even kids, who are obsessed with name-brand coffee and items.
So, they want to try this out for themselves and see if their families notice the difference in the taste and flavor.
