Is it the united front of wives seeking more family time or the Cookie Queen who believes in giving her husband his much-needed boys’ time? Let’s see what the internet has to say about this…

ESH except you and your husband.
For yourself and your husband this guy’s night is great. Your husband gets some time to relax with friends. You get time alone to destress. You’re both happy.
As for the other couples here, there’s been a breakdown of communication. For those with kids, pawning the children off on your wife every single Friday night is unfair. Every husband leaving the kids with their wife each week is TA. And the wives, for trying to unilaterally prevent their husbands from hanging out with their friends, are also a**holes.
The correct move here is for the couples with kids to work out a fair and equitable arrangement for caring for the kids that gives both of the parents time without the kids to relax.
