When a spouse goes on a trip without their partner, they oftentimes expect their spouse to come and get them from the airport. However, there are many times when things come up in life and they are unable to retrieve them. As long as someone is there to get them from the airport, all should be good, right? Well, not always.

The wife shared online that she had been staying with her sister to help her and she had not been home in a month to see her husband. She was expecting that he was going to pick her up from the airport—instead, he sent his brother to grab her. She was upset that her husband had rescheduled a work meeting at the same time that she was coming home, so she asked her BIL if they can go get ice cream on the way home.
Through various edits and comments, the wife also shared that it took two hours for them to get back home, including their stop for ice cream. Her husband was furious and upset with her for not coming right home from the airport and instead going out of her way to avoid it.
Many Were Wondering Why the Ice Cream Was So Important
Some people online were curious as to why the wife needed to get ice cream instead of going right home, especially when her BIL didn’t want to go either. She claims she was “upset” about her husband not coming to get her and assumed the ice cream would make her feel better.
The Reddit user then asked why she couldn’t have her BIL drop her home so she could go get ice cream on her own. It seemed as though she was including her BIL in a bunch of drama that was unnecessary.
Many Agreed She Was Wrong For Dragging Her BIL Into This Issue
Reddit users also agreed that the wife was dragging her BIL into drama with her husband that had nothing to do with him. He was helping her own brother out by getting his wife from the airport, he did not ask to drive around for two hours and cause issues in their marriage.
And, Finally, Someone Pointed Out The Obvious
One Reddit user said that the main issue here is a lack of communication. If they had spoken to each other and communicated with each other—there would be no problems to be had.
