Bella Thorne’s been calling out Mickey Rourke recently — not just for the weird stuff he said on Celebrity Big Brother UK, but also for how he acted with her when they worked together on a movie.
Apparently, on the show, Rourke made some pretty awful homophobic remarks to JoJo Siwa, and that got him in trouble. He got a formal warning from the producers and had to apologize.
But Bella’s not letting it slide. After seeing all that, she jumped on social media to share her own experience with him, back when they shot the movie Girl in 2020. And it’s… a lot.
She says he used a metal grinder on her genitals
Posting on Instagram this week, Thorne wrote: “This f**king dude. GROSS. I had to work with this man – In a scene where I’m on my knees with my hands zip-tied around my back. He’s supposed to take a metal grinder to my kneecap, and instead he used it on my genitals thru my jeans. Hitting them over and over again.”
She said she ended up with bruises on her pelvic bone and called working with Rourke “one of the all-time worst experiences of my life working as an actress.” Honestly, just reading that is rough.
The dirt scene was especially humiliating
Thorne then took her claims to X and wrote: “So many gross stories of things made me go thru on that movie, including in his last scene to speed up and rev his engine so he could cover me completely in dirt.
“Idk I guess he thought it was funny to humiliate me in front of the entire crew.”
That’s just… mean. Like, not even trying to hide the disrespect. Just straight-up trying to embarrass her.
She had to beg him to cooperate
“Having to go in his trailer absolutely alone because he refused to speak to the director or producers – so I had to convince him to show up and complete his job, as he shouted crazy demands that he wanted from the producers. In fact I had to beg. Alone. In his trailer.”
Imagine being put in that spot. Having to go in there by yourself just to get someone to do their job. Not cool.
Finishing the film came at a personal cost
“Since the movie could not be finished without him. Everyone’s work would’ve just been lost and completely for nothing. I didn’t wanna do it. I was uncomfortable, but I did what I was asked to do and what was best for the movie.”
She basically pushed through it, even though she really didn’t want to. Sounds like she just didn’t wanna let the rest of the crew down.
She says no one should’ve been put through that

“Mickey should’ve never put anybody in that movie in any of those positions that he did.”
Honestly, yeah. No one should have to deal with that kind of stuff at work – especially not on a film set.
Others gave their all despite the chaos

“Also side note: like f**k Mickey – how he acted doesn’t negate the incredible hard work that everybody else put into that movie.
“Everyone worked HARD literal blood, sweat, and tears to make that vision and I’m really proud of everyone and the work that was done on that movie.”
She made sure to shout out the rest of the team too. They all worked hard and didn’t deserve any of the drama.
Rourke’s team denied everything

A rep for Rourke has since addressed Thorne’s remarks and stated that the 72-year-old denies any wrongdoing.
So yeah, he’s not admitting to anything. Pretty standard PR move.
They say this is the first time they’ve heard it
In a statement issued to Variety, a rep for the actor said: “These allegations are extremely serious. Mr. Rourke adamantly denies any intentional misconduct. He was not made aware of any such concerns during filming and had no prior knowledge of Ms. Thorne’s discomfort until now.”
Basically, they’re saying this is the first they’ve heard of it. No clue anything was wrong, apparently.
No further comments are expected from him

Rourke’s rep continued: “Out of respect for all parties and given the gravity of the claims, Mr. Rourke will not be making further public comment at this time. He remains willing to cooperate with any appropriate inquiry through the proper channels.
“We affirm the right of every performer to feel safe and respected in their work environment.”
So… that’s that. They’re not planning to say anything more unless there’s some kind of formal investigation.
