Imagine planning your dream wedding, only to have a guest steal the spotlight with their own surprise proposal. That’s exactly what happened to one couple, who found themselves in the middle of a heated debate about whether the proposal was an act of homophobia or just plain bad timing. The couple’s friend, J, proposed to his boyfriend, G, just minutes after the bride and groom exchanged vows. But when the groom called J out for his actions, J accused him of being homophobic.

A Wedding Derailed: Homophobia or Just Bad Manners?
So, was J’s proposal at A and B’s wedding an act of homophobia, or simply bad timing? The internet is divided on this one, with some arguing that J’s actions were in poor taste, while others believe that the couple’s sexuality shouldn’t have been brought into the conversation. One thing’s for sure: this wedding will be remembered for more than just the happy couple’s vows. Let’s see what the internet thinks of this sticky situation…

NTA. They brought up their sexuality first by saying that the bride was homophobic-and it’s definitely bad taste to propose to someone at another person’s wedding. Did anyone else notice that G is ‘reconsidering’ his relationship with J all because OP ‘ruined’ his proposal? If the whole relationship is going to get called out over something as flimsy as this, I’m not sure why they bothered to step on someone else’s happy day to get engaged.
