There’s nothing worse than falling in love with a show on Netflix, only to realize it’s been canceled, or worse — its future is up in the air!
I have trust issues from a lot of things: my cellphone, my Facebook account, my own family members — so what I don’t need is more drama from MORE SOURCES!
Thankfully, 2020 has said enough of the drama and confirmed that Virgin River will be renewed for a third season!
If you’ve been looking for a break from Christmas movies on Netflix, it can be hard to sort through all the c**p.
It’s not that I’m picky with the shows I like, I just want to watch quality television, is that so hard?!
So when my friend suggested I check out Virgin River I was hesitant at first (what kind of name is Virgin River ?). But let me tell you, after the first few episodes, I was instantly hooked!
The show follows a nurse practitioner named Melinda as she moves from Los Angeles to a remote Northern California town. I know it sounds kind of boring but I promise, it’s GOOD!
There’s nothing like putting on a good show, enjoying a cup of tea (or wine, I’m not here to judge), and wrapping Christmas gifts from “Santa” during this time of year!
After I whipped through the first two seasons, I was anxiously checking online to see if there were any updates on the show.
For such a high-tech network, they sure took their sweet time to give us any answers!
Thankfully, it has been confirmed that the show will be back for another season!
Deadline reports that the streaming service has ordered a 10-episode third season and fans couldn’t be more excited.
Netflix’s Twitter account shared a video of the show’s stars, Martin Henderson and Alexandra Breckenridge, making the exciting announcement.
Martin started: “Hi everybody! We just want to say a huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making Season 2 such a big success for Virgin River. And because of that…”
“Season 3 has been picked up by Netflix!” concluded Alexandra.
So far, we know that Season 3 will introduce A BUNCH of new faces. Zibby Allen will join *Virgin River* as Jack’s sister Brie, who is described by Netflix as “hard-charging, ballsy, and a whole lot of fun.”
Stacey Farber will also come to town as Lily’s daughter, Tara Anderson. I can’t wait to get into these characters’ backstories more!
With Season 2 ending on SUCH a cliffhanger, I’m so eager to see what happens to Jack!
Unfortunately, I don’t think we will be seeing the new season any time soon, but hey — at least we know it’s coming.
Besides, we need something to look forward to, right?!
