Listen up: Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard believe they’ve have found the key to marriage.

It’s sex. And lots of it, according to the “Counting On” couple who recently celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary together.
They got married in June 2014 , back in Jill’s hometown of Springdale, Arkansas.
Together, they have two children — sons Israel David, 4, and Samuel Scott, 2.
To celebrate, getting down and dirty seemed to be the only thing on the agenda of their romantic getaway…
While in Branson, Missouri, they kept things casual.
You know just some Kama Sutra reading and sexy bedroom games.
The sexy trip came weeks after Jill had opened up about her and Derick’s sex life in a blog post on the Dillard Family Website.
In order for couples to keep the “fire in their marriage,” Jill wrote that they have to have sex often.
“You both need this time together regularly (3-4 times a week is a good start).”
“When you may not be able to actually have intercourse for a period of time or for health issues, find other ways to have fun and be intimate.”
This could mean serving him and meeting his needs — another one of Jill’s controversial tips.
“Guard against fulfilling sexual desires alone. Be open with your spouse about your desires and change things up to keep it exciting!”
If couples are having trouble in the bedroom department, the Counting On star even suggested that they seek help from professionals.
“See a doctor and/or licensed counselor and don’t be afraid to get second opinions.”
There were several other tips on how to please your husband, such as always looking nice, wearing lingerie for him, etc.
Now, in a new blog post, Derick is covering the same topic but from a male perspective…
The blog post, titled Hot Love: How to Love Your Wife Like You Mean It , began with Derick mentioning how Jill’s post was a huge hit.
“She also told me that she received a lot of feedback that the ladies would like me to write a post to husbands about how we can better love our wives.”
Like Jill’s post, the first piece of advice was all about keeping things lively between the sheets.
While Jill said to get busy 3-4 times per week, Derick suggested 5-6…
“And when you may not be able to actually have intercourse for a period of time or for health issues, find other ways to have fun and be intimate,” he continued.
“Let your spouse know that you’re always available. Guard against fulfilling sexual desires alone. Be open with your spouse about your desires and change things up to keep it exciting!”
We’re not sure if this part really needed to be said, but Derick said it anyways: never allow your wife to think you’re her father.
“Whether it’s making demands, expecting her to keep the house spotless, or telling her to get off her phone…if she says ‘I feel like you’re my father when you…,’ then pay attention to that and ask her what you can to do change/how to handle the situation the next time!”
On the flip side, he also reminded his male readers that “your wife is not your mom.” Um, thank goodness.
In addition to all of the sexual activities, Derick suggested that couples practice open communication and never being alone in a room with someone of the opposite gender.
Both husband and wife included the same explanation for why they wrote their blog posts in the first place.
It began with them writing that they were “so tired” of people saying that they were just in the honeymoon stage.
“I do realize that sometimes things may change slightly due to life changes (e.g. kids, work schedules, etc.), one thing I think we need to recognize is that the fire in your marriage doesn’t have to die out!”
“But like a fire, sometimes, and more so during some seasons than others, you need to be intentional, proactive and work hard to keep the fire going.”
Whether you agree with their advice or not — or, you know, cringed at it — at least they’re happy, right?
And hopefully their kids won’t be able to read for a long, long time…
