I don’t know if you’ve ever been on the receiving end of a random act of kindness . It’s only happened to me a few times in my life. And I can tell you right now, it caught me off guard. However, I’m not saying it in a bad way. On the contrary, it was actually surprising to have a stranger act that way.
I’m more used to people being the opposite, actually. So when a recent tweet told people about a strange act of kindness , it sparked others to post things that happened to them, and the thread really blew up. Let’s check it out.

Creative and radio host Maggie Fisher recently posted this. I guess she wanted to share that there are strangers out there that can still appreciate another human being. And so, this innocent tweet inspired others to share cool things that happened to them out of nowhere.
This Kind Stranger
Wow! Sometimes when you get a compliment from a random guy, it can come out creepy AF. Am I right? However, in this instance, I wouldn’t get a vibe like that. And I guess that’s exactly how this woman felt here, huh?
All It Takes Is A Smile
Speaking of smiles, this is pretty much how I met my fiancé. I was at an event, and a lot of people that were there seemed unfriendly. But when I saw my now fiancé he gave me the nicest smile, and that’s what made me talk to him. Fast forward to 13 years, and we’re still together.
This Smart Gentleman
Not only did this older gentleman give these two ladies a great compliment, but he also taught a life lesson to his grandson. I wish there were more great examples for young children like this smart man.
This Spontaneous Moment
Oh my gosh, I would have just about died if that happened to me. I mean it in the best way possible. What are the odds of something as sweet as this occurring out of nowhere? I love it!
This Generous Soul
You know, sometimes I wish I lived in the ’50s or ’60s when men were gentlemen. These days, you do, get guys buying you drinks, but usually, they stick around wanting something in return. A random act of kindness like this goes a long way.
This Thoughtful Act
Can you believe that? Being a teacher is hard. You’re responsible for shaping young minds and preparing them for the future. It’s awesome to see that at least somebody out there appreciates that. I bet this made their night.

Ah, dining alone, huh? Not everybody can pull it off. Am I right? I admit I often feel awkward if I don’t have anybody to go with me to a restaurant. So the fact this guy was totally comfortable doing that definitely paid off, ha, ha.
This Meatball Vibe
Ah, ha, ha. I need to ask this lady how to pull off a meatball craving kind of vibe. So perhaps someday, when I have that feeling, a kind soul out there will send meatballs to me from across the room. Wouldn’t that be nice?
This Purposeful Omission
Even though this might seem like a small thing, I can tell these folks really appreciated it back then. Sometimes even innocent things like these can make somebody’s day. This guy won’t feel that missing $50, but they sure could use it.

Heck, a compliment is a compliment. Am I right, hehe? So, take it. You never know when a seemingly insignificant thing a stranger says can affect you in a good way. Glad to see it did that for this lady here.
This Awesome Compliment
I know a lot of ladies may be creeped out by a random guy giving them a compliment, but sometimes a compliment is just a compliment. There are no strings attached. If you asked me, that’s the best kind.
Dance Like Nobody Is Watching
I can so relate to that. When I was younger, I would go to nightclubs just so I could dance. I didn’t need a partner — I just wanted the dance floor. So, if anybody said that to me, I would have really loved it, haha.

See, this is why I don’t go to the gym. I feel like I would be doing something wrong, and people would just stare at me. If I knew there would be people like this man, it would make me want to go to a gym more.

Wow, can you believe that? You don’t see the power of a random act of kindness until it touches you. I bet this lady was so pleasantly shocked. Something tells me she really enjoyed this flight.

Oh my! Sometimes we need time to get comfortable in our own bodies. I’m happy to see that this is where this lady is now. And that she still remembers this genuine compliment she received 30 years ago.
