We all want to be a little bit more like our heroes. When our heroes are tiny, dagger-wielding assassins, it gets a little trickier.
Arya Stark has consistently been the smallest-but-biggest badass on ‘Game of Thrones.’
Ever since Arya’s heroic moment in ‘The Long Night’, the Internet has been obsessed with that iconic final moment. Some people have started ‘The Arya Challenge’ to showcase their love for Arya and her killer moves.
In case you missed it, ‘The Long Night’ was one of the darkest episodes of “Game of Thrones” yet.
Both literally and figuratively. The Night King and his army of the undead stormed Winterfell, people died, and we learned the Night King was immune to fire for some reason. Just when all hope seemed lost…
In came Arya like a spider-monkey.

When the Night King wasn’t looking, Arya leaped on him from behind, catspaw dagger in hand. The Night King spun and grabbed her by the throat, but Arya had a secret move up her sleeve.
She dropped her knife, and CAUGHT IT in her other hand.
Then, as you can see, stabby stabby goodbye Night King.
This slight-of-dagger trick looked incredibly cool, and though not everyone was pleased with how the episode ended, the Internet at large is obsessed.
Some people noticed that this is a signature move of Arya’s.
Certain eagle-eyed fans with great memories noticed the similarity of the move that took out the Night King to one Arya pulled while sparring with Brienne. It looks like this is a favored strategy for her.
Thus, the ‘Arya Challenge’ was born.
The Arya Challenge involves dropping something from one hand and catching it in the other, with the same smoothness and ease as Arya Stark herself.
Like all great attacks, it can also work as a dance move.
The odds of success for this working on the dance floor and making you look cool instead of weird highly depends on the confidence you can pull it off with. These people make it look easy.
Even not-so-direwolves are getting in on the action.
It looks like Jon Snow better watch his back (well, actually, his back and then his front) after the way he sent off Ghost without so much as a pat on the head.
Some people have been getting fancy with it.
I know Arya didn’t really have time for things like “style” while trying to bring down the biggest threat to humanity in the Seven Realms, but I think pulling off this move wouldn’t have hurt.
Not everyone’s been so smooth with it, though.
Ouch. Be careful, all you wannabe Arya’s out there! She’s a trained assassin, and also a fictional character who didn’t do it for real.
It’s not the most dangerous challenge you could be doing, though.
Poor Theon. At least he got to know he was a good man in the end.
THAT’S the kind of acknowledgment Jon should’ve given Ghost! “You’re a good boy, Ghost.” See how easy it is, Jon?!
