The View has been on for ages, and when it’s not being played in the background of your doctor’s waiting room, it’s at the front and center of controversial opinions and hot button topics.
One of their most recent guests, however, has viewers particularly unhappy.
48-year-old film actress turned off-Broadway star Maddie Corman sat down with the ladies of “The View” to discuss her one woman show, “Accidentally Brave.”

Corman starts out the interview the same way she starts out her show, by saying “I’m not okay.”
Corman claims she took to the theater to work through the pain her husband Jace Alexander put herself and her children through.

Alexander was arrested three years ago for not only possessing and watching child pornography, but distributing it.
Inexplicably, Alexander avoided jail time and got off with only ten years probation.
Surprisingly, Corman is still with her husband, claiming “I was with my husband for 20 years, and he was, and still is, a really good dad and a really good partner, it’s a complicated situation.”

Naturally, none of the women on the panel could understand Corman’s choice to stand by her husband after something so vile,
“I don’t think I could stay with my husband if I found this out,” said Meghan Mccain.
Viewers were not happy about Corman’s presence on the show at all.

People felt it was morally wrong to have a woman attempt to “normalize” her husbands child pornography addiction.
Maddie’s show got read publicity from the interview, which further angered viewers.
“Her husband is complicit in the abuse of children and she’s such a victim she’s written a play, starring herself of course, about it,” wrote one user.
Viewers were rightfully confused as to how Corman could defend her husband and call him a great father just after admitting to his child porn addiction.
Seems like a contradicting statement to me.
Fans even vowed to stop watching the show after giving Corman a platform.
There needs to be more recognition and aid given to the true victims in this scandal— all the children being abused in the videos Alexander was illegally distributing and promoting.
It is important to remember Coreman is not the victim here.
