One look at Kirk’s Instagram could tell you he loves recording himself. Seriously, the man makes like a video a day talking AT his followers.
This past week, his videos were about his plan to organize a massive outdoor caroling event amidst a global pandemic!
This past Sunday, the 50-year-old gathered hundreds of fans to carol in “protest” of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s stay-at-home orders for California.
“Peaceful Protest in Song,” he captioned the video.
Of course, no one was social distancing, and no one was wearing masks as the crowd belted out classic Christmas carols.
“God bless America. Joy over fear,” he captioned the following video.
Naturally, the post sparked outrage in the comment section.
“While the closest hospital has a full ICU. Real smart,” wrote one user.
“You should be ashamed of yourselves. It’s not about “living in fear” or “being sheeple.” It’s about respecting your healthcare workers, and the elderly or immunocompromised. It’s about taking care of one another compassionately,” commented another.
Considering this is the SECOND caroling event Kirk has organized, it’s doubtful the backlash will affect his decision to host more in the upcoming weeks.
