File this story under “heartwarming” and prepare to grab a box of tissues while you’re at it.
Groups of students studying science, technology, engineering, and math are putting their knowledge and creativity to good use by creating custom electric cars for children with disabilities.
These cars are truly life-changing for the children who receive them and the photos pretty much say it all. Grab those tissues now. Seriously, you’ll need them.
Go Baby Go is a charity organization that help children with mobility issues.

The organization was founded at the University of Delaware, but now has clubs across the country. Students in high school and university studying STEM subjects build custom electric cars for these kids so that they can gain some independence.
All of the cars are gifted to the children and their families for free.

The children are usually nominated by pediatric therapists in the area. Once they receive their cars, their smiles say it all.
Besides being super fun to drive and looking really cool, these cars are a huge lifesaver for many families.

In many cases, the parents can’t afford electric wheelchairs, and since the cars are givent to them for free, this generous gift changes their lives.
Each car is custom-designed based on the child’s unique needs.

The teams are currently working on designs that would allow children who can only move their heads to operate them, as well as larger cars for children over the age of six.
I don’t know about you, but this story is truly heartwarming. Where are the tissues?!
