Isolation is hard on all of us, regardless of social or financial standing.
But with that in mind, there are without question those who have it easier than others. Like Naomi Watts , for example.
She has the fortune of quarantining in a million-dollar LA mansion ; how hard could that be?
Well, judging by her latest Instagram freakout, it’s more difficult than any of us imagined.
Since the outbreak of Coronavirus, Naomi Watts has been keeping busy.
Which, is hard for anyone to do when you’re stuck in the same house for so long.
She started out by sharing her recipe for Quarantine Soup.
By the way, how cute is her dog?
Then we all got a peak at Naomi’s Yoga routine.
Look at that Tree Pose!
Stay rooted, Naomi!
Around week 2, things started to take a turn.
Naomi posted this video of a quarantine dance party.
Interesting camera placement and choreography to say the least.
Just last week, fans got another peak inside Naomi’s kitchen.
Red velvet cake with cream cheese icing? Yes please, Naomi!
Naomi even posted this great time-lapse video of her cooking Dahl.
Don’t forget the cumin!
I wonder if she’s willing to airdrop her food into our yards…
It appeared all was right in Naomi’s world.
She even continued to entertain fans with some throwback posts to keep us in the loop with her own thoughts.
But brewing beneath the surface, a darkness was beginning to grow.
Because like all of us, staying cooped up inside your house can definitely have a lot of negative effects on you.
And make you snap.
Finally, the isolation became too much and Naomi completely broke down.
The comment on her Instagram reads:
“When your printer, vacuum cleaner, and dishwasher all break in the same day.”
You can literally feel the anger and anguish in Naomi’s mighty roar!
Which, to be completely fair again, I’m sure anyone would react that way if not one, not two, but three appliances broke down.
Granted, while it does appear to be a joke, many people didn’t think it was funny.
Many were quick to point out how Naomi’s behavior was the epitome of first world problems.
Naomi received pretty heated backlash for the video.
And sure, she has a credit card to replace them all easily, but aren’t we allowed to feel angry when something like this happens?
This tweet says it all:
Joke or not, there’s no arguing that in hindsight, the video was incredibly insensitive.
And they just keep rolling in.
But considering the fact that she clearly did it as a joke, maybe people are taking it a little too far.
What do you think? Did Naomi take it to far?
Are celebs entitled to have their freakouts like the rest of us or should they keep it off social media?
