So far, fans have loved her performance . Some even noticed that she secretly honored the late Alex Trebek in the sweetest way.
Listen, Mayim Bialik knew she had big shoes to fill when she agreed to guest host *Jeopardy*.
“Everybody kind of holds his energy present on that stage. You still feel him there, and I think I really just wanted to discreetly and humbly take that podium,” she told USA Today about the late Alex Trebek.
Now, Mayim has gotten her chance to host the game show.
“To be considered to be part of it in any way is such an immense honor ,” Mayim explained via YouTube.
“Especially for someone who’s dedicated so much of my life to academia, to knowing things, to be able to communicate things.”
So far, she hasn’t let the fans down. In fact, they are obsessed with her.
Judging by these reactions, fans loved her first episode. “Loving Mayim Bialik as the Jeopardy host!” tweeted one user.
“Of course she’d be great. She’s sweet, personable & very smart,” another tweeted.
Viewers are even saying that she is not only their favorite but that she should take over completely.
“Mayim Bialik is doing great! Smart, controlled and confident. One of the best cohosts by far,” one person tweeted.

She even got the highest compliment of all: that Alex Trebek would be proud.
And as if she already wasn’t doing a great job, she’s even paying homage to Trebek in a super sweet and subtle way while she hosts.
Who says you can’t mix academia with fashion?
Bialik, who has a doctorate in neuroscience, accomplished just that with her wardrobe on Jeopardy!
“This is actually something that I felt instantly really passionate about,” she said in a pre-show interview on the Jeopardy! YouTube channel .
“For me, I really just wanted to look like the academic that I was trained to be,” she continued.
Her “academic” style calls for “a certain amount of formality and decorum.”
She was even able to secretly honor the show’s late host Alex Trebek, who died in November 2020 , with one suit.
“The image I have of him is in a suit; it’s blazered up,” she said of Trebek.
“I really wanted to do my version of that — not because I’m trying to look like a man or because I want to look masculine,” Bialik continued.
“I wanted to choose things that were flattering and that I feel comfortable in, which, as an actress, you almost never get to have those things.”
