Navigating dating is tough for anybody, let alone those whose previous relationship ended due to a tragic loss. One man was having a go at it and found himself in a happy relationship , one his daughter didn’t approve of.
As things escalated and a wedge drove between them, the man came online and asked if it was he or his daughter making the wrong decisions here. Things only got messier from there.
A dad trying to get back into the dating game after his wife’s passing has run into quite the issue.

In a Reddit post that has since been deleted, one man asked if he was in the wrong for “bringing his girlfriend on a date to his daughter’s workplace.” What followed was a crazy set of twists and turns and airing of grievances that no one saw coming.
He begins by giving some context to his relationship with his girlfriend Millie.

They’ve been dating for six months, and it’s the longest relationship he’s had since his wife passed four years ago. He is 51, Millie is 28. They met online and Millie moved in pretty quickly, just after 3 months.
Also, the man’s 21-year-old daughter, Bianca, doesn’t approve.
Millie moving in didn’t go over well, and not far into it they got into a spat regarding the spare room.

Bianca had been using it for a music space, but Millie wanted to convert it into a shooting space for social media as that’s her job. The man sided with Millie and this caused Bianca to speed up her move-out plans to the next week.
She asked that, going forward, her father warn her if Millie was going to be at any family event or if she was going to be present during any visits.
Some weeks later, it was Millie’s birthday.

She wanted to be taken on a shopping spree and out for a nice dinner, which the man was happy to oblige. The restaurant Millie wanted to go to was the one Bianca worked at as a waitress. The man remembered his daughter’s request, but figured this was fine and chose to go.
Bianca did spot them and was immediately cold, avoiding them despite them being in her section and approaching her father after the fact.
Bianca had had enough. She accused Millie of being overly flirty with her dad in front of her on purpose.

She also said that, while her father was in the bathroom, Millie beckoned her over and told her not to contact her father for the next few days as he would be busy engaging in “private activities.”
Her father didn’t believe her, but it didn’t matter. Bianca said she wants no contact with Millie or her dad outside of family events. His ex-wife’s sister called to tell him he’s “neglecting” his daughter, but the rest of the family is split.
“I understand that Bianca and Millie have their issues and Bianca misses her mother, but Bianca was at work and I think she should have been more professional,” he wrote.
However, when discussing the matter in the comments, the man revealed some details that make the scenario even spicier.

In some comments, the language he uses makes his relationship with Millie seem rather formal. When someone said they probably met on a sugar daddy website, he asked, “Would it affect your judgement if we did?”, which all but confirms that to be true.
But the biggest twist of all is learning that Millie and Bianca knew each other before.

They weren’t just friends or coworkers, they were friends with benefits .
He says in one reply that the two had “slept around” before, then when another comment said Millie was “his daughter’s ex,” he said firmly, “No, they were having occasional casual sex.” He was apparently unaware of this, and was told this fact by Bianca.
It was already a pretty messy situation, but those two facts did make it worse.

No wonder Bianca feels so angry about the situation, she has every right to be! Hopefully she’s since moved out and has space to herself to clear her head about the whole ordeal.
What do you think? Did Bianca go too far with cutting her dad off, or was she justified? And who is really in the wrong in this situation? Let us know in the comments!
