Let me preface what I’m about to say by stating that makeup doesn’t make you beautiful — it simply accentuates the features you already have. That being said, there are those who take it too far .
Unfortunately, for some, makeup is like a drug they just can’t say no to. In order to get a better understanding of what I mean, have a look at these 15 makeup fails that the internet can’t seem to get over.
Where to begin?

I honestly think that the ribbon over the eye is kind of cute, especially now that we’re heading into the holiday season. That being said, the overdrawn upper lip is just a little too much for my taste.
Strut like a peacock.

If I had to guess, the reason why this young girl’s eyes are closed is due to the fact that the weight of all her makeup makes them impossible to open! The purple and blue are certainly bold choices.
Contouring is a powerful thing.

For anyone who doubts the power of makeup, let me please direct your attention to this process picture. I don’t know how she did it, but this girl managed to contour more than half of her nose off her face!
Pick a tone, any tone.

I can’t believe that this is the finished product. More than likely, this girl was trying to illustrate a blending technique, or perhaps showing how different color tones match her face? Either that, or she’s blind.
Those are some bushy brows!

So there’s a lot happening here. First of all, kudos to you on the eyeliner and lashes. They’re a little extreme but I can certainly acknowledge the skill it took. I have to admit, though — I absolutely hate this new fuzzy brow trend.
Lips that shame the red, red rose.

Ladies, take it from someone who knows nothing about makeup — don’t do this to your upper lip. Unless you happen to be a professional makeup artist, you won’t fool anyone and you’ll just end up looking silly.
Pink is a risky color foundation.

Once again, I’m really trying to grasp at straws and acknowledge the skill and precision in the application process. However, I think that we can all agree pink foundation should be reserved for cosplay purposes only.
The eyes aren’t bad, but the rest is questionable.

The eyes actually are really impressive, they give off a Disney villainess type of vibe. My only question would be whether or not she forgot to blend her foundation after she was done?
Dark and smokey.

Those eyes look like two deep black pits of despair. Not to sound like a jerk, either — but nude makeup looks good on positively no one. It doesn’t make your lips look more natural; just caked-on and gross.
How much is too much?

Clearly, this young woman is incredibly attractive. But she looks as if she’s wearing so much bronzer and self-tanner that she’d leave a perfect imprint of herself on a white sheet. Props on the brows, though — they’re straight fire.
Just smile and nod.

“My little sister got her makeup done for my 30th birthday party, FYI she’s really good at her own makeup and she wanted to treat herself…. Everytime[sic] I need cheering up I look at this photo and laugh. It cost €60!!” – Reddit u/Secure_Dragonfruit69
Not exactly what this bride was expecting.

I think we all need to come to an agreement and leave the smokey cat-eye look where it belongs — back in 2006. It was a lot of fun for awhile, but it’s run its course.
Shine on, you crazy diamond.

Here’s a standard rule of thumb that every woman should use when applying her makeup: if you can see your own reflection in your foundation — that’s a sure sign that you’re wearing too much.
There’s a lot going on here.

Oh, my sweet lord — what have you done to yourself, girl?! You’re far too pretty to walk outside the house with those dark-ass brows and orange-colored eyes. The lip liner isn’t doing you any favors, either.
Ground Control to Major Tom…

It looks as if the spirit of David Bowie has possessed this person and is running amuck with their brain! I admire the skill (and the plastic surgery) but the execution is way off the mark.
