There are few things more terrifying than the thought of working with your ex-partner. This is exactly why I refuse to engage in any office romance, or even a casual rendezvous with a barista at my favorite Starbucks — I just couldn’t handle seeing them every day!
Unfortunately for Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, this nightmare was their reality.

For those who don’t know, *The Big Bang Theory* stars Kaley Cuoco (Penny) and Johnny Galecki (Leonard) dated for two years while filming the series.
Of course, the couple eventually broke up but had to continue dating on-screen as Leonard and Penny.
Unfortunately for Kaley, her love life wouldn’t be smooth sailing after her split from Johnny.
The actress married professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting back in 2013 in a romantic New Year’s Eve ceremony before the couple split in 2016.
Thankfully, Kaley has met her match with equestrian hubby Karl Cook. The pair tied the knot in 2018 and have been living happily ever after ever since!

While appearing on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, Kaley explained why her first marriage just wasn’t meant to be.
“I think even with my, you know, I was married previously, but even with that person, that was a big problem. And I was like, ‘I have to be with someone who really has their own — whether they’re famous or not, their own life,'” she explained, according to Us Weekly .
“I think what’s so cool about Karl, and everyone that’s gotten to know him [is] he loves his life and he loves his equestrian world,” she gushed about her now-hubby Karl.
“Like he’s so cool in that arena, literally in that arena, so he is so fulfilled. He does very well in what he does and it’s so important.”
As for Johnny, he’s been dating Alaina Meyer since 2018 and last year, the pair welcomed their first child together.
A happy ending for all parties involved? We love to see it!
However, things weren’t always this peaceful in the land of Kaley and Johnny!
Now, Kaley is revealing what she believes The Big Bang Theory creator Chuck Lorre did to mess with them after the split.
For those who need a refresh, the pair dated for two years before splitting in 2009 and went on to film the series together until it ended in 2019.
“We dated really early on for almost two years. When we did the pilot, I was crushing so hard on Galecki but he had a girlfriend,” Kaley explained on the “Armchair Expert.”
She continued: “We got together and just fell mad for each other for two years, but then we broke up.”
“Luckily Johnny and I came out of it so brilliantly and we’re closer today than we ever were.”
“When we broke up obviously it was a little sensitive for a minute. But I remember those weeks that Chuck had written these episodes where all of a sudden our characters were like sleeping together every other second,” she revealed.
“Johnny and I talk about it and I think [Chuck] did that on purpose — just to [expletive] with us,” she laughed.
“If I was with him, I would ask him because that came out of nowhere. All of a sudden these characters were all up on each other.”
OMIGOSH, talk about a nightmare ! Good thing these two are so professional!
