To stroll or not to stroll…
That is the question on people’s minds after Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were photographed pushing their five-year-old son Silas around in a stroller.
If there is one thing that the internet likes to do, it’s hate on people.
It doesn’t even matter if they’re celebrities are not.
The fact is that people behind screens love to go and hate on others for their decisions.
One thing in particular that people love to hate on is celeb mothers!
People think that celebs don’t have feelings, just because they work in Hollywood.
Because of this, when celeb mothers do something out of the norm, people tend to slam them. And hard.
Like Kourtney Kardashian, who had to shut down haters because they were slamming her for kissing her children on the lips!
“The worst, though, is when people I don’t know give unsolicited parenting advice,” Kardashian said.
“No one knows my kids better than me, I’ve got this, I’m good, thanks.”
But it doesn’t only happen to the Kardashians.
Celebs everywhere, no matter how beloved, get a lot of hate for their parental decisions.
Including Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel.
The past few months have been anything but smooth for Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel…
It all started this past November when Justin was photographed holding hands with his The Palmer co-star, Alisha Wainwright.
The incriminating photos were taken while they were drinking at a bar in New Orleans.
Eyewitnesses even gave a report of what happened.
“They were smiling and laughing. At one stage, he grabbed her hand and rested it on his knee,” they said.
“She then gently started stroking his leg. Then he clutched her hand with both of his and was playing with her hands.”
Not good.
It certainly didn’t help that Justin was photographed without his wedding ring.
After news of what happened became public knowledge, he was forced to publicly address the situation days later.
“I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family, I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people that I love,” he began in his statement posted to Instagram.
“A few weeks ago, I displayed a strong lapse in judgment—but let me be clear—nothing happened between me and my costar.”
“I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son.”
Justin continued:
“I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be.”
The couple’s first public appearance after that wasn’t exactly smooth-sailing, either.
When they were spotted having dinner at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles in January, things reportedly looked ” tense .”
“There was a couple of times when it seemed the conversation was a bit tense with both looking deep in thought,” an onlooker said.
Months later, the Daily Mail published pictures of the Sinner actress walking out of a Health Mart Pharmacy in Beverly Hills without her wedding ring…
Thankfully, it reappeared on her finger when Biel shared this photo from her birthday.
This led fans to believe that things with the couple were back on track.
But now, they’ve come under fire again.
This time, for letting their four-year-old son still use a stroller.
Photos of this were taken recently while the couple walked the streets of New York City.
Those who think Silah is too old for a stroller soon made their thoughts known online.
“Poor Silas” another tweeted.
Since Silah was crying in most of the photos and videos, people blamed the stroller.
“Not a happy family,” another wrote on Instagram.
Justin even found himself in the dog house again, as some believe that the stroller is Justin’s doing, not Jessica’s.
But that’s not to say that the couple doesn’t have any support, though.
Some people believe that the parents were totally in the right to let their son use a stroller at his age.
“My 6 year old nephew still rides on his stroller. See? Different strokes for different folks. Not every kid is the same. Kids can get upset over ANYTHING,” this fan wrote.
“You don’t know them at all to judge their parenting & even if you do know them, you don’t have the right to,” another tweeted .
As parents, they’ve earned the right to make their own decisions.
Where do you stand on the issue?
How old is too old for a child to use a stroller?
