Thrifting is honestly so much fun! You never know what strange, rare, totally unique things you might find at a secondhand store.
The Instagram account Weird Second-Hand Finds is dedicated to the things people actually find while thrifting. I’m not gonna lie, as weird as most of these things are, I’m kind of jealous of how lucky these people are.
“‘Sorry, can I call you back on my SpongeBob phone?'”
This is equal parts terrifying and hilarious. I don’t have a landline, but if I did, I would only want a SpongeBob phone. Maybe then I’d actually make phone calls…
“‘This wonderful work of art came home with me! With all thee extra arms, I can now get everything done!'”
This costume looks handmade. Like, I get why you’d want to get rid of it (if you don’t have space for it), but I don’t think I’d ever have it in me to part with something so ridiculously cool!
“‘Handerpants from Goodwill.'”
There are gloves, there are fingerless gloves, and then there’s this. Sure, they aren’t going to keep you warm on a chilly day, but at least they’re sure to make everyone around you laugh.
“‘Ever realize how big stoplights actually are? My partner and I found this one in a local antique shop. Me for scale.'”
I really want to know how you get a whole stoplight in a thrift shop. I also want to know how anyone could find this and not bring it home. The temptation would be too real for me!

This is exactly what we should do to old, plain paintings. Turn them into alien abduction pieces. Note: no cows were harmed in the making of this painting.

I’ve never loved and hated something as much as I do this burrito wallet. On one hand, it’s kind of gross. But on the other hand, it’s so cool!

The fact that this little doggo is wearing a sweater and a wig is just too adorable. But the real question is: is this supposed to be a wig… for dogs?

This set is so cute! But there’s so much detail on every piece. Like, too much detail for a set of tiny cookware. Someone out there takes their job really seriously.

There’s nothing more country than wearing jeans and cowboy boots. But, what if the boots are jeans? Or, made of denim, I guess.
I just want to know what you’d even wear those with. More denim?
Meanwhile, a very different kind of shoe.
Imagine getting dressed up in a nice suit or a black dress or something, and then sticking these bad boys on your feet. Nothing says upscale quite like Muppet shoes, I think.

I need to know if this is an official Taco Bell sweater, or if some Taco Bell fanatic went out of their way to make it. Either way, it’s kind of amazing.
An E.T. beanbag chair. Yes, you read that right.
Apparently, this bad boy was found at an estate sale. I bet the kid who once owned it lives a very interesting life today.

The picture itself is funny enough, but the fact that it’s on a plate makes it even better. Imagine putting this up on a display rack in your credenza.

I usually really hate it when people paint over antique wooden furniture, but I’ll make an exception here. Because, like, it’s Cynthia. She’s kind of iconic.

This looks like it came straight out of The Little Mermaid . And as weird as it is, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love it. Because I do!

First of all, the dress looks great. But more importantly, I’m going to be imagining that this person genuinely has a Gremlin head. Not a costume.
