Every once in a while, I see a bunch of really cool and amazing designs. Any time I see them, it just makes me so inspired . Not that I do anything with that inspiration, but still.
Maybe you’ll be a little more proactive after looking at this list. Use the inspiration these cool designs give you, and create something awesome of your own!
“This condiment cup for your car.”

This is honestly going to change the game. Though I’m sure there are plenty of people who hate eating in their car, there are enough of us out there who need somewhere to put our ketchup when we’re munching on fries during rush hour. This is everything.
“My library (in Canada) provides light therapy lamps for people to use while reading, working, and studying in the dark Winter months.”

The more North you are, the darker winter gets. Light therapy lamps are so good because they help give us a little more light in the day. They should honestly be everywhere by now.
“Eggo waffles finally added a way to reseal the open bag.”

Oh. My. Gosh. They finally did it! No more having to awkwardly twist the waffle bag after you opened it to take a few out. No more having to make more than you actually wanted to make sealing the bag easier.
“The coffee machine at my college has a diagram of the different choices.”

This is good, because I feel like some people want their coffee a certain way, but don’t know what it’s actually called. It’s me. I’m people.
Now I know the names of all sorts of drinks, that I’m going to probably forget in a couple hours.
“This barcode on this pack of toilet paper looks like it’s part of a toilet paper roll.”

I’ve seen plenty of clever barcode designs in my day, but this is a new one. And honestly? It’s pretty awesome. Not that toilet paper needs to do anything clever to sell (not after 2020).
“This towel folded like a dog.”

I honestly just love the way some hotel cleaning staff will make fancy shapes out of towels like this. If only I had the energy to try doing this at home (I’d never make it as a hotel cleaning person).
“This hand dryer in the airport washroom looks like a pilot captain’s hat.”

I love the little details you can find in airport bathrooms. From sink drains shaped like little planes, to dryers shaped like a captain’s hat, there are all sorts of cute things to keep an eye out for.
“This train’s next stop screen has a cute pixel train car.”

This is so simple, yet so effective. I’m honestly in love with this little train. Train rides are fun enough as it is, but this would make a trip so much more exciting (at least, to me it would).
“My local Hungry Jacks has these lids with drinking holes in them so you can drink them without a straw like a coffee.”

To be honest, I would totally prefer this to a paper straw. Those things always get soggy before I finish my drink. Let’s normalize sippy cups for adults!
“This micro USB charging cable that has Christmas lights on it.”

I love this festive USB cable. It’s such a cute, subtle way to add a bit more holiday decoration to your home. Where can I get one?
Okay, let’s face it, I’d probably want, like, a dozen of them.
“The bathroom signs look like they have to pee.”

These signs aren’t exactly reinventing the wheel. They’re just cute and funny. And sometimes, you just need cute and funny designs to brighten your day a little. Nothing like a little toilet humor.
“This awesome solar system card my dad got me for my 18th.”

This is probably the coolest card I’ve ever seen in my life . You know how you get a bunch of cards for a birthday, holiday, or special occasion, and end up throwing them out after a few months? Well, not this one.
“My friend painted a tree on his wall earlier this year, and has decided to decorate it as his Christmas tree.”

I can’t get over how creative this is! Why not use the tree you painted on your wall as a Christmas tree! It’s definitely the kind of thing you won’t see at every house, that’s for sure.
“This shipping company’s post-it notes on a pallet.”

There’s nothing more fitting than having pallet-themed post-it’s for a shipping company. After all, things ship on pallets. It seems so obvious, and yet it’s such a clever little design detail to put in there.
“This noodles cup has holes in it so you can drain the water! I’ve never seen this before.”

I’ve seen this before, but not in a sturdy lid like that. It looks like you could even reuse it, which would be great for those of us who eat more instant ramen than we probably should.
“Instead of a cash donation box, this café has a ‘tap and go’ credit card reader to donate to the blind.”

I’m so glad these are finally a thing. After all the stories you hear about people stealing donation boxes, something like this would be so much more secure (plus, who even carries cash anymore?).
“A middle school near me has this sign painted right before a crosswalk.”

This is great because, when people are glued to their phones, where are they looking? Down, of course. There’s a time and place to use a phone, and a busy crosswalk is neither of those.
“My dishwasher has a spot specifically for chopsticks.”

One thing I find really tough about owning reusable chopsticks is not really having a place for them in the dishwasher. I really wish I owned one like this, though. That would make things so much easier.
“This gas pump has an alternate button pad lower down for accessibility.”

I really appreciate when people design things to be as accessible as possible. Something as simple as pumping gas shouldn’t be limited to anyone. I hope we see more things like this in the future!
“This shipping icepack is nitrogen-based and useable as plant food.”

This is actually so cool! I always worry about the ice packs that come with meal subscription boxes. If they’re all like this, then we don’t really have anything to worry about, do we?
