When fashion trends go out of style, they don’t just stay gone.
Fashion trends are ever-evolving, meaning that the door is always left open and revolving for new trends. While right now we’re seeing a resurgence of ‘ 90s styles, including bucket hats, acid wash jeans, and crop tops, there’s a lot of room in our closet for more.
So, without further ado, here are the fashion trends I truly believe we should bring back!
Mini skirts

Almost everything is better in a mini size, including skirts. They are super versatile, as you can easily take the look from day to night.
Simply trade your sneakers and t-shirt for a pretty blouse and some heels, and you’re ready to hit the town.
Overalls

Remember the days of wearing these as a kid? Sure, they were tough to use the bathroom in, but the stylish look they provide makes it worth it.
You can wear them all year round by changing up what’s underneath. This makes them ultra-versatile.
Pearls

If you want a touch of old Hollywood glamour, pearls are where it’s at. They go with so many looks, both casual and formal, and help provide an air of sophistication without being too flashy or over the top.
Leg warmers

Got a grandmother who loves to knit? Ask for some leg warmers! There are so many ways to dress them up that don’t make you look like you belong in a ’70s workout video. Start with adding them over cute heels.
Shoulder pads
Yes, it’s possible to wear these and not look like you raided Michael Jackson’s closet. Shoulder pads are a huge fashion statement — one that will trick the eye and even make your waist look smaller.
Bishop sleeves

You don’t have to be an actual bishop to wear these! They are a lot like bell sleeve tops, only they’re tighter around the wrist. This gives your look an airy style that’s flowy and sweet.
All-denim

We can thank Julia Fox for this one. The Uncut Gems actress has been strutting her stuff around in all-denim outfits for quite some time now, like the time she matched with ex-boyfriend, Kanye West, much like Britney and Justin once did.
Steve Madden slip-ons

You know the ones: Hilary Duff wore them often as Lizzie McGuire . They’re available in many different colors, so they go with basically everything and the heel height is comfortable enough to strut the town in.
Tiny bags

Remember when we said that everything is better in mini size? This includes purses! These are straight-up adorable, aren’t too heavy, and make a great accessory to your outfit without totally stealing the show.
Sweater sets

So many of us used to wear these back in the day and had them in practically every color!
Now, you can wear them alone or pair them with a button-down underneath. Either way, you’ll always be super cozy, warm, and stylish.
Animal print dresses
At one point, you couldn’t help but think of a cougar (AKA older woman chasing a younger man) when seeing an animal print dress. Flash forward to today and animal print is a fierce look that could make even a wallflower stand out.
Corsets

Corsets belong on the runways, just as much as they do in the bedroom. It’s a bold look that raises your confidence when you wear it, given the sexual appeal. Pair it with everything from dress pants to glamorous skirts.
Velvet dresses

This is a glamorous look that’s gorgeous to wear and fun to touch. You won’t be able to keep your hands off yourself — and neither will others. The dress looks best when paired with nude strappy heels.
Slip dresses
This is a look that Kate Moss made popular during the ’90s. It was the “barely there” trend that was slinky and oh, so sexy. Upgrade your LBD by getting a slip dress version.
Big hair

Forget pin-straight hair that has zero volume. Everyone wants big, voluminous hair now that looks like it’s been freshly blown out. Topanga from Boy Meets World was ahead of her time by rocking this look well.
Hippie dresses
You don’t have to be a hippie to rock a bold pattern. Scour the racks of your favorite clothing store and you’re bound to find dresses with some funky patterns. Then, wait for the compliments to roll in.
Velour jumpsuits

The ultimate comfort! Many of us had the Juicy Couture ones or the matching pink version with our friends so we could feel like Paris and Nicole from The Simple Life . Running errands has never been more comfortable once while you stroll around in this.
Leather jackets

A high-quality leather jacket is a must in your closet. They help keep you warm on chilly nights and go well with any outfit. Pair it with skinny jeans and heels for a night out or go for an oversized jacket to add flair to leggings.
