Trying to control her, compare her to other women, basically being an a**hole instead of supporting who and how she is while she’s going through massive changes. Being pregnant is a huge deal and its a different experience for every woman. It’s already tough being pregnant and she definitely didn’t need the extra stress from her husband, and likely you as well. You, as a woman, should have called out your son’s behavior and told him to lay off burdening his wife and just plain support her!! And the icing on the cake of you telling him to not be at the hospital… that was pretty ignorant of you. Your son should have made plans with his wife and should have mentally and physically prepared himself. That was his last chance to prove he is willing to be a good husband and father. If he acted like a total s**t while she was pregnant, how is your daughter-in-law going to expect him to be a supportive father??? How can he possibly ‘make’ it up to her? Based on what??
